I just did. I went 12 days camping and out in a boat fishing and really did not care about the news. Several days into it got a news paper and read the news. I actually heard through the grapevine by overhearing a conversation that Palin had resigned. I find it easy to step away from the news but I also find it easy when I'm at home to listen to it all of the time. In one form or another.

Easily. I could go months. (unless you count accidental news gathering by way of people just telling you stuff)

I don't watch the news, ever. I hate it. And I don't read any papers.

If you just mean "without any form of the news" to be purposefully seeking it out, then I could go a very, very long time.

Hell I even hear news through WoW chat...usually games ppl are watching while farming....

2 things,
mumber one is that the news will happen with or without my knowledge of it.

the other is a question...are we talking real news, or what the media spoon feeds us?:2razz:

No news is good news.
Yes, I could go weeks in ignorance without any sort of news, but, I never have.
If the news media would only improve a little, and stay away from trash( homosexuals,Jackson, lieing politicans??, so on and so forth) then my interest could be re-piqued..
C Span could be an answer, but it moves so slowly, and is boring to me....
