Thank you for saving me the trouble. You almost have it figured out. If only you would connect the dots then the thread can finally die.

Again why is it idealistic to want those in office to do their damn job?

If you have had over a year to reflect upon what I said earlier, why should I even bother? The point is, it looks bad upon paper (in an altruistic way), but when one considers exactly what our representatives do on a daily basis, it becomes a natural consequence upon our demands. Any attempt to regulate, on a base level, what you want, would have severe consequences on the governance on the state, which some misguided libertarians support, until they may figure out it creates a scenario they explicitly detest.

Sometimes, events are complicated enough that one individual cannot, I repeat, cannot, realistically conform to even a small portion of a demographics's desire for how they should behave. Anything to the contrary seems like backseat driving, while the backseat passenger is intoxicated. To me, your suggestion should be greeted upon like any random drunk. To put it bluntly, that is about as far as I can take it. Yeah, you want something, but you are just rambling, without any concern with the realistic demands of the job.

What you said a year earlier is just as much nonsense as it is today. Why do you fail to comprehend the fact that those who vote for bills should read the damn thing before signing it. How hard is it to say no if you do not have an adequate amount of time to read it? Why is it hard for you to comprehend the fact that if they do not want to read bills the size of dictionaries then they should not write bill the size of dictionaries and discourage their fellow coworkers from writing bills the size of dictionaries. Its not that hard, for example the Arizona's anti-illegal immigration SB 1070 is less than 20 pages.
