So, what you're saying is that rabbits are an endangered specie and that you'd like to try a pineapple soup?
I see.

This doesn't make any sense.

I agree.

"Specie" is money in the form of gold and silver coin. I've never heard of rabbit specie.

The two situations mentioned in his statement have nothing to do with each other.

And the full statement has nothing to do with what he responded to.

TROLL.

I choose to vote "present" on this poll. Not taking a stand either way allows me to avoid the posibility of being on the wrong side of a position.

10 Things I Hate About Obama.

I hate the way he talk to me, and the way he cuts his hair. I hate the way he drives my car. I hate it when he stares. I hate his big dumb combat boots, and the way he reads my mind. I hate him so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way he's always right. I hate it when he lies. I hate it when he makes me laugh, even worse when he makes me cry. I hate it when he's not around, and the fact that he didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate him. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

12 voted they didn't like him because he's black. At least you crackers are honest.

Sure, nigger. In case you can't tell, I don't believe in that liberal term "reverse racism". Racism is racism, period. So if you were offended by this then stop using racial slurs.

Given that you are fairly new here, you might want to pause to read the forum rules. Racial slurs are generally not appreciated. In the case of WillRockwell's post, yes, "cracker" is a racial slur directed at white people. The proper thing to do would be to use that icon in the lower left, the triangle with the exclamation mark, and report the post for containing a racial slur.

Responding in turn with a racial slur is not helpful to maintaining a civil level of discourse.

Not a moderator, just a poster who does not want to see this thread deteriorate into basement smack.

Moderator's Warning:
Enough with the racial slurs! Any further racial slurs will result in infractions. This is your last warning!

Well I guess I wont reveal the punchline then!

What makes you think only white people chose that option?

A reasonable assumption? I knew I shoulda made the results public, but I originally thought people wouldn't give their honest opinions if it was public...

A reasonable assumption?
Not really, considering there's plenty of Asians and Hispanics who don't like Obama because he's black. Probably other blacks, too. It is, however, a racist assumption.

And again the question that should be asked is, if it is wrong to dislike him because he's black, why is it not also wrong to like him for the same reason?

A very valid point! It is ridiculous for someone to like or dislike a candidate based on their skin color. Are there people who do, absolutely, but that doesn't make it right either. If only 12 people out of the 72 who voted chose this option, I'd say that's a pretty fair representation of the American public. I'd bet that if you posted a poll as to why people like Obama and "Because he's black" was an option, you'd probably get a higher response than 1 in 6 that do (assuming the results were not made public).

I live in the deep south and it's amazing how many black people walk around in Obama t-shirts. Do you think they'd wear a t-shirt of a white President around? We haven't cleared that racism hurdle quite yet as we have a very long way to go. Until we return to the days following 9/11 where no one was a conservative, no one was a liberal, no one was an african-american, no one was a caucasian-american, etc..., it will always exist - right or wrong.

If you live in the South, I guarantee you did not see as many Obama bumper stickers as those for McCain/Palin. Why? Because anyone considering putting an Obama sticker on their car recognized the car might be vandalized because of their political statement. Even in the Northeast I thought long and hard before putting that sticker on my car. If I lived in the South, it probably would not have been applied. Old time, good-old-boy racism is alive and well in the South, and I suspect we see some of it on this board.

This is a lie, based on the posters own psychological insecurities.

And your bigorty or the south based on your own fear is noted.

You should have made it public, if only for the entertainment factor and to see if those same 12 people would have voted Black.

But look at it this way, 12 out of 72 is not so bad. There will always be racists no matter what

This is going to sound really stupid but wtf does cracker mean? Is that the white version of the n word?
