You mean the one I have made 3 or 4 times in this thread? Including the question you asked I answered?

You do realize name calling is the last resort of a limited mind.

Make your point fat boy.

"I figure you live in a place where you don't even have the right to defend yourself. Take that along with your views I figure you do not even understand the concept of basic rights, let alone the consequences of police brutality. - Blackdog

That is pretty much it in a nut shell.

Again the truth hurts. ;)

You seem to think (just an observation) that it is OK for the state to tramples on peoples rights when ever it feels necessary or you agree with the position (going by US law.) For example...

"Childrens decisions on medical issues are made by the state not their parents." - mikhail

I will agree to disagree, but police misconduct should never be tolerated for any reason no matter what the suspect did.

Innocent until proven guilty.

I called the El Monte police department and inquired about this case.

The badged thug responsible for this attack is still on active duty. He isn't on patrol (he's riding a desk) but he is still on duty being paid to work even after he committed felony assault on a subdued suspect.

That cop is a disgrace to the uniform and he needs to be fired and charged with a crime.

Interesting.
The suspect can, I would think, file a very serious complaint... maybe this police-man has serious mental problems and should be doing something else.
The streets, sidewalks are filthy..

You really think that policeman is an asshole? Maybe im just mean.

Moderator's Warning:
Mikhail. Knock off the personal attacks.

I still think writing on his face with a marker was uncalled for.

The suspect was lying face down in the dirt. That kick is an assault with intent to injure.

That cop needs to lose his badge and spend 5 years in general population thinking about where he would be if he had not assaulted the suspect.

That cop is scum.

Exactly. A fine example of police brutality. If I ever go to California, and see him in the urinal next to me, Ill be sure to throw one at him.

How many peoples lives did he put in risk?

Irrelevant.

The suspect was prone on the ground in a surrender position, there's laws against unprovoked attacks on people, and the damn cop is, guess what, an officer sworn to uphold the law. He's not allowed to dispense his own justice.

He's a criminal, he should be prosecuted, he should be convicted, and he should be put in jail with absolutely no special considerations about what his job was before he committed that crime.

Police brutality in California!? I refuse to believe it!

Spot on... :applaud

The police should be held to a higher standard than the general population for they have the power to detain and release. This officer shows that he doesn't have it to have the badge and he should show as an example what happens when this level of misconduct occurs. He should be fired and spend at least a year in lockup. Asulting a fugitive when surrendering is just stupid and will eventually make it much harder for the police when they try to capture suspects or other fugitives.

I'd like to see somebody genuinely TRY to justify this inappropriate act of assault.

Actually, somebody did.

A spokesman for the El Monte Police called it a "Distracting Blow" and stated that because the suspect hadn't been searched the officer was justified.

I disagree.

There is never a reason to distract a subdued suspect.

I'm pleasantly surprised that we haven't seen the usual group out calling everyone who speaks out about police brutality "Criminal Lovers".

I have no sympathy for the suspect whatsoever. If he is tried and convicted he SHOULD spend a long time in state prison.

However, the arrogance of this police officer is outdone by his stupidity that he thought was could get away with this. He had to know that there were helicopters covering this. His actions showed what many of us that live her in LA know, there are many on the LAPD and other police agencies that simply cannot control their behavior. Imagine how often this occurs when it is NOT caught on tape.

There are many good officers on the streets. Unfortunately, until the LAPD and in this case El Monte Police weed out these bad cops, they will continue to be a blight on the good hardworking officers out there.

Seems like pretty obvious police brutality to me.
The guy was down and compliant.
Even the second cop is guilty, IMO for bashing him in the back repeatedly.
They idiot criminal was just covering up a bit after getting kicked in the head.

First cop should be fired and fined...

And tasered repeatedly, along with that lowlife thug cop who beat up that 15 year old girl

Even more horrible they wrote on his face.

Do we know that they wrote on his face? It could be a tatoo. He has some on his neck.

The cop knew the helicopter above him was filming, no? I wonder if he wanted to be a tough guy on tv.
