My gut instinct says yes, however I also believe in innocent until proven guilty and want to see how this shakes out and who ends up with egg on their faces.

I share your sentiments regarding the proving of guilt--and of a certainty a quote in a newspaper article is of somewhat less evidentiary weight than sworn testimony.

Still, the folks that were there are disputing her account of things. Seems fairly certain someone is lying.

During the past few years of listening to Nancy Pelosi I've come to the conclusion that while she may be very adept at both politicking and helping her husband enhance their fortune, she's not very adept at articulating coherent positions on complex issues or even understanding the complexities of the arguments going on around her. So I wouldn't be a bit surprised that Mrs. Pelosi could sit through numerous secret briefings about the administration's detailed interrogation proposals and now have zero comprehension about what it was she was being briefed about.

:2wave:

While I allow for the possibility that she's such an addle-brain that it could have escaped her, the overwhelming likelihood is that she's lying.

I have to ask everyone who reads this when did you first hear about waterboarding? Last week? A month ago? 6 Months or a year back? I have to tell you I knew and or heard about a few years ago and even saw a demonstration someplace on TV. For her to claim she didn't know is beyond comprehension.

You should have made the voters public. It would have been very enlightening to see who voted no or don't know. ;)

.
On second thought, never mind. Anyone that has been around here more that ten minutes has a pretty good idea. ;)

.

I find it almost impossible to believe she didn't know.

I doubt it. I figured that not making the voters public would garner a larger participation in the poll itself, which I consider to be a more important objective than maximum disclosure.

She's lying through her teeth, and it's obvious. She is costing the Democratic party moral credibility.
