Excerpt from a great column ('Obama Discredits Himself in Record Time'):

So the question is, which of the following violate Barack Obama's pledge to bring "change," choose "hope over fear," get rid of the lobbyists and partisanship, and ditch the "failed policies of the past?"
Americans are already realizing what an outrageous scam they fell for in November...
Most now know that Obama was lying through his teeth when he denied the existence of any pork whatsoever in a bill provably composed of nearly nothing else.[1] Only 26% now think Obama is taking this country in the right direction.[2] The more they learn about what Democrats are trying to do and how we got into this mess in the first place, the more they reject Democrats on the economy.[3] As usual, they want what Republicans want-tax cuts, coupled with spending cuts.[4]
Imagine a Republican "reformer" responding to a recession by trying to violently shove a massive spending increase through Congress before anyone could seriously examine it, due to its "job-creating" provisions, such as:
-$5.2 billion for the Swift Boat Vets,
-$56 billion for corporate tax breaks,
-$4 billion for Exxon and BP,
-$89 billion to privatize Medicare,
-$300 million for grants to fight black on white crime,
-$15 billion for ivy league colleges,
-$600 million to convert the federal auto fleet to SUVs,
-$1 billion to research alternative theories to global warming...you get the picture.
