If you had done that some people would be saying they like it, others would say that they don't, and many would be saying "I don't know. With a building like this, it would depend on it's context. I'd have to see what would be around it"

Context matters in architecture. It doesn't make sense to even try to evaluate such a building without a context, which is what you want people to do. Forgive them if they continue to want to make sense while you go off into lala land.

I just wanted the opinion about the building, not context..

So you seriously think that lousy spire looks cooler/nicer than the hotel?

If you disagree with that, you have atrocious taste. The Juche Tower is a million times cooler than the Hotel of Doom.

I was one of the people who said the building was nice/cool.. Anyways the spire is not a building..

Depends how you define "building." If you define it as a structure that people can actually live and/or work in, then the Hotel of Doom doesn't qualify either. As I see it, the Juche Tower has just as much claim to being a building as the Hotel of Doom does.

But regardless, it's a hell of a lot cooler. The Juche Tower is actually quite attractive and no one would ever guess that it was in North Korea if they didn't know better. The Hotel of Doom is basically a fitting monument to how much North Korea sucks.

More anti-American trolling.

Yeah, sure, in your own little obsessed mind. I am sure NAZI Germany also thought things was anti-German if people mentioned the reality rather than NAZI Germany's preferred propaganda version of things.

UK parliament at night is one of the most spectacular views one can have of a building.. Everyone should go there and see it for themselves.

:2wave:

I agree, its lovely at night. Especially when you're walking alongside it. Small lights are around the streets. Looks very cool :2wave:

Lmao, No. The parliament in UK.

You have short term memory don't you?

Yikes. I didnt read the quote.. UK parliament at night is just stunning. See it from all different angles is just an amazing experience.
