Denny's was giving away free Grand Slam breakfasts?

I wouldn't eat a grand slam breakfast right now, but I would have shown up at 3AM, just to hang out with all the strippers.

and now I wonder what caused (according to your thread) you being in the dog-house when it comes to your wife.

I've never been to Denny's. But I bet that was some artery clogging fun.

The only Denny's I like are named Crane

No, I didn't get drunk or high.

Denny's slammed by breakfast giveaway - CNN.com
Media outlets reported customers lined up outside the doors of many of Denny's 1,500 locations.

Some patrons were still wearing their pajamas and slippers, and strangers were crowding together into booths, CNN affiliate KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, Utah, reported.

"You couldn't beat it. I mean it was a beautiful, beautiful breakfast. It was fit for a queen or a king," diner Annah Shoffner told CNN affiliate WNCN-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina.

:rofl

That's just sad.

Nope, and I won't either. The Houston Denny's chain, except for a couple of stores, is owned by a bunch of Iranian crooks who purchase goods and services from vendors then don't pay their bills. The company I work for had to get an attorney to threaten them with a lawsuit before they paid. In the process, we found out that they screwed just about every other contractor who also did work for them. Before we got the lawyer, we complained to the national office, which told us they did not have any control over their franchisees. Unfortunately, a lot of the contractors screwed over by Denny's are small and can't afford lawyers, so Denny's gets away with it most of the time.

The Houston chain used to be owned by Hakeem Olajuwon, the former Houston Rocket, but then he sold it to these Iranian crooks out of San Antonio. When it all hit the fan, and we lawyered up on them, they called my boss, who is also Iranian, and had the nerve to tell him that he was an immoral man because "Iranians don't sue Iranians". My boss told them to go to hell, which will definitely freeze over before I step through the doors of another Denny's. He also told them that they had a choice - Either make arrangements with the lawyer and pay up, or suck on a very large judgment. They ended up paying, not only what they owed, but the money our lawyer charged, as well. :)

Well? Did ya?

I walked in there and the lady at the register said "sorry we've never heard of that offer." WTF?

Unfortunately the closest Denny's other than that one was like in the next city.

DAMN!

Well? Did ya?

Excuse me, but I have a complaint. Your line, "WHY WASN'T I INFORMED?!!!", is MY LINE. I have exclusive copyright to this sentence on DP. Here is evidence of such:

Wait, women can vote?!!! WHY WASN'T I INFORMED?!!!

You're gay?!!! WHY WASN'T I INFORMED?!!!

You mean it didn't? WHY WASN'T I INFORMED?!!!

The Inauguration was today?

WHY WASN'T I INFORMED?!!!

Today is Saturday?!!!

WHY WASN'T I INFORMED?!!!!!!

There are a few others, but due to forum rules, I cannot link to them. Now, quite obviously, I have substantiated my copyright to this phrase on DP. In lieu of a royalty check...wait, changed my mind. Send me a royalty check.

But I edited it. See the "WTF?" in front of it? That's what makes it different. It's like the "ting" that makes the beat of Ice Ice Baby different from Under Pressure

My husband went since on his break since he was working close by one and he said they couldn't even get in because the line was out the door and to the corner. And it was about -10 degrees yesterday morning. People love a free breakfast I guess.

Denny's had a superbowl commercial mocking silly breakfasts. I remember the G.S.

2 pancakes
2 eggs
2 strips bacon
2 sausage links

Pancakes and sausage links are a classic winner.

I can't believe I heard all about the 30 second porn while everyone failed to mention the ad featuring free eggs and bacon. WTF? Priorities people.

I must have missed that one. What constitutes a "silly" breakfast?
