If we pin our hopes on the European Union, I may have to revise my opinions on assisted suicide.

I am ever so slightly nauseated by calls for revolutionary thought that can in no way be accurately described by it invoker. That isn't political thought, it's a magic spell.

 Come on, OC, you know we're heading in that direction! I don't need assisted suicide, I can do it myself after I take as many of these treasonous mvtherfvckers with me as I can!:2wave:

Totally agree...problem now is we are stuck with it and our blob of a government will continue to sink us! What government worker is going to vote themselves out of a "lazymans dream job"?

"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -- Benjamin Franklin

I'm afraid that would be too expensive to be worthwhile, though to be sure it's the thought that counts.

I assume you haven't heard of his war on poverty...WORLDWIDE.

Our Founding Fathers were not stupid...they were escaping tyranny like the type we are about to see (or shall I say what we ARE seeing). They wanted to make sure it never happened here, but unfortunately there are too many people in high places that give no credence to our Constitution. These idiots find their way into our wonderful government subsidized schools and slowly turn each generation against what we are supposed to stand for. Public schools are nothing but a bunch of indoctrination facilities where political correctness is the main subject.

Wow, thats a bit far but I agree with what you are saying here, schools are politicizing its people into a certain way of thinking. But its also useful in many ways and teach a variation of non politicized knowledge. Shamefully school is not about preparing the young generation for life with "lifestyle" studies, nor teach them to live a life different than the average life, nor prepare people to be anything else than "working slaves" all their life.

I prefer to call them pinko commie-sympathizing idiots that hijacked the word "liberal", kinda like the way homosexuals hijacked the word "gay".

Pinko? :cuckoo:

I see alot wrong in the EU, and we're going to end up being lucky enough to be like you...is there a sarcasm smiley here? Talk about having your national sovereignty ripped out from under you. They want to turn us into a North American Union...perhaps that's why our Constitution means nothing anymore. We'll have a "global Constitution" set forth by the UN...One World, One Love. Kumbaya. I'd Love To Teach The World To Sing...

We still have national sovereignty. But the more important question is, "why would we need national sovereignty" when national politicians are a bunch of under ambitious morons.
Ay ay, did you read the right of the people set fourth in the Lisbon treaty? thats king of a "super bill of rights".. I can see the European Union government doing a lot of goof things compared with the national governments who dwell in failure and petty issues and constant "one against another" limbos. Thats just far worse.

Have you ever read our Constitution and the Bill Of Rights? It's not "being attached to the past", it's doing what is right for the whole country. We were never meant to be a socialist sh!thole, but that's the way we've become, thanks to leftist idiotology. Do you realize that our Supreme Court, whose job it is to interpret our Constitution, actually look to see how other countries deal with similar situations? That is criminal, in my opinion. And it's only going to get worse.

I have indeed. I think its shamefully how unimportant a piece of paper that is in todays US, but its certainly not because of leftist ideology, more because of neo-cons ideology.

Those labels don't mean squat anymore because Republicans and Democrats have pretty much melted into each other. Hell, I can't tell the difference anymore. Republicans are no longer conservatives. The only real conservatives are the ones that want to hold on to our Constitution, without all the bull**** that the leftists try to smuggle into it...for example, where in the hell does it say that women have a right to an abortion? I still can't figure out where THAT came from.

You sure are an angry and feisty little babe.
I do agree with you here, although not 100%, perhaps 90%.. Abortion probably came from "freedom", meaning that women didnt have to pursuit that freedom for themself but could be assisted by the state.

Well, it's different here. We're moving further to the left.

Uhm, ok.. How is that exactly? In my humble(as always) opinion you are pretty much pinned to the right, not the left side of a global scale.

Nope, just saying that he is the lesser of 2 evils, although I'm not really sure of that anymore. McCain has no respect for the 1st amendment, I have my doubts about his thoughts about the 2nd amendment, and he's a globalist just like the rest of them. Who knows, he may have died in office and then we'd have Palin, who wasn't bad in my book.

I agree kind of, but I am not as skeptical about Obama as you are, I am just enormously skeptical towards politicians in general, so yes, you could say I agree with this, but McCain would certainly have been a lot worse than Obama, and its very likely he would have died in office leaving that insane woman Palin as the US president by the backdoor, which was probably the intention with putting such an old body in charge of the country. I find it rather amazing he won the republican primaries.. How the hell could they want a hundred and something year old man in charge of a country, thats just INSANE.

Yes I am, babe...it's 75 degrees here today and I don't have any windows open...trying to keep the heat in because the deep freeze is coming!

Thats what I could feel. :bright:

It should be a new law that every woman on this forum have several pictures of themselves in their gallery. :prof

75 degrees, thats like 20ish celcius i guess. Thats not like here. Its around 23ish degrees celsius outside and constant sunshine, sometimes it gets cold inside at night

I assume you haven't heard of his war on poverty...WORLDWIDE.

you mean the all-hands-on-deck anti-poverty effort that is literally saving a generation of children?

Thats noble, honorable and honest. I respect that. Who was that?

Noble, honorable, and honest, spending my tax dollars so despots can benefit from it. Do you honestly believe the STARVING people are going to get any of that money? Guess again. It's NOT up to us to feed the fvcking world anyway.

Nobody wants us to be the world police but they have no qualms about us being the world welfare distributor. Hell, we can't even feed our own.

Its people like YOU who make it difficult then for the human race to work together. Its out common human responsibility to work together to ensure that everyone in the world have decent lives, not just Europeans and Americans. We as "better" people sure can afford and sure have a responsibility to help the weaker.
But I guess, perhaps you just smile when you pass a homeless person on the streets?

You are EXACTLY wrong. Its up to us to help them feed themselves, to help them use condoms and other birth control so they don't multiply in such great numbers and cause even more misery, to put a stop to everything and just say "lets make this work, lets change things".
The answers are enormously complicated, the solutions difficult and hard, but we have to do it eventually, they are also holding us back, they are holding the human race back.

I don't think it's brains he's concerned about! LMAO!!! And guess what? I AM a blonde!

I am not only interested in brains either... ;)

But hot damn if a woman isn't that much more sexy when whe is intelligent and she speaks her mind in the face of disagreement!

You know, athletic, funny, sweet... all good too, but intelligent is the kicker for me.

Yep. We should and do do our best to help, but it is not our job to do so. We get yelled at when we don't help, and when we do help, we get yelled at for interfering. when we use troops to help (somalia) then we get yelled at, when we choose one area over another, we are called racists or looking after our own best interests. It just sucks being American from the PR point of view.

We are ONE human race arent we? Dont we all have a common destiny? Isnt it in American and European interest that others are better developed as well? As a result we would benefit greatly from that. :thanks

Yet even if Obama, expands government, he will have cut back the giant government that Bush has created before he can expand to normal size again.
Bush has privatized many things, there by doubling and tripling the cost of things in government agencies.

We need jobs and aid for the poor or we are going to be burying millions of Americans because of Bush.

How much aid have we been sending people all over the world and they're STILL starving? If you believe that the starving people get that aid and their evil governments don't get their hands on it first, you are very naive. The dictators running these countries could give a rat's ass about the people. They live in squalor while their "leaders" live high on the hog...no doubt because of our "aid". I have nothing against helping people if I knew for sure they were going to get it!

I am not saying we should continue to "help" people in such a ridiculous way as we currently do. We need to create real programs, supported by all countries which can afford it, into helping the poor help them self. We shouldn't drop food at the starving, we should teach them to build up their own agriculture, and pay them food to do so.This would sure be a much more noble cause to use military might in than to rob a country of its natural resources and sovereignty.

I think concerning all that involves politics and society of today we have to start thinking DIFFERENTLY than we do, or else the spiral just heads downwards.

DEmocracy can work if it's kept local and not extended too large. The problem is that we've got too many opinions that people want to have nationwide application of. That creates the dichotomy in our political system, which is the most self-serving of all entities.

There is nothing wrong with direct rule being by the people in a local sense. Let people vote on local ordinances, and do what they can to control their own local sphere to whatever degree they wish.

The problem with democracy is when too many people of different backgrounds and such want to have input at the largest level. Special interests become the strongest voices and they will manipulate the people and the system in such a way to achieve their own ends.

The country was designed to be a alliance of states joined together under the constitution, which outlined common goals.

Each state and local area was to have it's own degree of autonomy to do as they saw fit within their borders so long as they were in keeping with the common goals of the Union as a whole.

But now, big brother government is far, far too large and both parties seek to continue this expansion, just in different ways.

The only way to fix this is to reduce the power/size of the federal government over the states and the people.

Each state and local area was to have it's own degree of autonomy to do as they saw fit within their borders so long as they were in keeping with the common goals of the Union as a whole..

Do any of the states actually have any autonomy left? Aside from California which have demonstrated this a few times..

We give money to dictators?

Yeah, but there is only so much that we can do.
Isn't it you that is always railing on America for going out and "Policing" the world?
Look at Somalia. We were doing a great thing there and people gave us **** over it.

You didnt do a great thing in Somalia at all.. We never do great things to others here in the west, we only make things worse. Somalia is the worlds most failed state now, it wasnt before the US involvement down there.

Crystal clear if you enjoy having your view confirmed. A crystal clear point, for me, has details and support.

One has to give details and support to make a point that is clear?

My daughter is having a time out since she is unwilling to share. ]
What is my point? It is crystal clear... she is having a time out for not sharing.
Is the point not valid since I didn't offer you support and details? ;)

Her point was crystal clear. Indirectly... the money from our aid get's into dictators hands.

Not understanding her point is very different from it being valid.
Not understanding her point does not make it less clear of a point,
Just less clear to you... get it? It is not a rip.
I don't get points once in a great while.
That doesn't make the point any less clear though...
