I should have been more concise. It's not just the buildings. It's also federal property...which would be government stuff inside or outside a building that the government is using...and federal employees.

If federal property is being threatened, then yes.
If the mobs are threatening other parts of Portland, then the smart thing for Chad Wolfe to do is extend his hand in help to the battered police. If the stupid mayor or governor says no to the help, then that means they should stew in their own ignorant juices.
