Is Joe Biden's VP Pick Violating the Civil Rights Act?

Is Joe violating the Civil Rights Act by choosing a VP based on race and sex?

Joe loves black kids playing with his leg hairs and sitting on his lap whilst he is wearing his budgy smugglers.

Since Creepy Joe has announced that he will pick a woman of color as his VP, doesnt this violate the Civil Rights act of 1964 that bans discrimination based on color and sex?

announced that he will pick a woman of color as his VP

The whole post is factually incorrect.

Biden never announced that he will pick a woman of color. He announced he would pick a Woman. He then released a list of his top choices that included Women of Color that started a lot of buzz that he would LIKELY pick a woman of color. Nowhere did Biden announce he would only consider a Woman of Color, and in fact Amy Klobuchar, Gretchen Whitmer, and Elizabeth Warren were on his list.

Elizabeth Warren is still considered to be in his Top 3 choices.

What a dumb notion.

That is a seriously dumb notion.

Nothing is, was, or will be violated, by what Citizen Joe does in picking his running mate based on his personal preferences.

His VP is not being "employed" by Citizen Joe Biden, so the VP pick position aka political candidate, does not fall under any part of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, per race or sex discrimination, in particular, as defined in Title VII, under definition of "employee".

Nice try as a "gotcha moment" though.

You get an A for your effort!

Can you link the quote of Citizen Joe stating he will only consider picking an African-American female?

Thanks in advance!

Any candidate who is passed over because they do not fit the racial requirements specified, technically, could sue.

Lol.. anyone can sue anyone but this type of lawsuit would thrown out immediately.

It's clearly a violation of the Civil Rights act, but if Joe is elected, he'd be the one to prosecute himself. So it's moot.

I'm waiting for one of these Geniuses to provide some sort of source that Joe said he would only be considering selecting a Woman of Color.

I'll be waiting for quite some time because it has never happened. Facts never seem to matter with this crowd.

The geniuses who elected two presidents that crashed the economy are never going to admit anything. They lie and then hide. It's all they can do.

It's not going to matter in this context.

But if a CEO of a corporation put out an ad that he/she was only looking to hire a black female, all hell would be breaking loose.

Its a yes or no poll, what's so dishonest about that?

Isnt he?

It is the statements after the yes or no.
Yes, its an outrageous display of discrimination
No, he is doing it in order to win, so he's exempt

Could someone agree (Yes), he broke the law and not believe it was an outrageous display of discrimination?
Could someone vote No that no law was broken and not believe he is doing to win, so he is exempt?

Trump would approve of your poll question. Nothing biased in the way this one is set up.:lamo

And yet the fact remains, Biden only said he would select a Female Running Mate. Never did he mention their ethnicity.

Aww, I knew you couldnt give an honest answer, so you deflect again using ad homs. Typical lib response.

So you think there is a law against Biden picking a black woman as his VP? Please state it.

He has the right to pick whoever he wants.

If voters feel he's violating the civil rights act of 1964 then they don't have to vote for him.

But here's a more pertinent question: if voters vote against Biden or Trump because they're too old, are they breaking Federal law since age is a protected class?

Whatever your career field, stick to it, law isn’t your thing..

No, it's more that your post was stupid bull**** that you don't even half-understand. Again.

His VP pick has nothing to do with the CRA. Wompity-derpity-womp.

Using your own article.

"I am not committed to naming any (of the potential candidates), but the people I've named, and among them there are four Black women," Biden told MSNBC's Joy Reid on "The ReidOut."

When did he say He was ONLY considering Black Women? He said 4 Black Women were on his very diverse list of names. On that same list are Tammy Duckworth, an Asian Woman. Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, and Gretchen Whitmer.... all Caucasian Women. The list also included Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Latina Woman.

I'll wait for you to point out where Biden said he was only considering Black Women. His statement in that article was to point out that his VP list was diverse.

How is the American people choosing to elect a white president and black vice president a violation of the CRA?

Is this really where democracy is now? The Trumpist contingent will just say and stupid crap, no matter how utterly, hopelessly, and irretrievably stupid it is? As long as another Trumpist can detect the "I hate librulz!" sentiment, it's good?

Good lord
