When Trump was asked "why didn't you attend John Lewis' funeral?"

Trump said, "he didn't come to my inauguration."

During this time of racial tension, was skipping John Lewis' funeral the politically savvy thing to do?

Why does anyone care? Trump is so self-centered, if he attended, he'd just have made it about himself in some kind of way.

Vindictive pettiness is considered cool in Trumpland. Good move in 3 dimensional chess!

Trump is self-centered, narcissistic, and petty. He was never going to go, and if he did, he'd have to turn it into an event about himself.

This. Let’s be honest; his presence would have been a train wreck.

I am sure he thought he was doing the responsible thing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by refraining from going to a mass-gathering.

Yeah, I’m sure that’s what he was thinking. What the “responsible” thing to do would be.

Other than control his cult members he does nothing savvy or classy, he wasn't invited or wanted anyway. I for one am glad he did not go, and I wont shed any tears when trump leaves the planet.

Is trump a Big Beautiful Super Spreader? Hmmmm, you might be on to something there.

He continues to miss opportunities to support people who worked for, or continue to work for, social change. He has sent a clear message that people who inspire others to work together are not his type of people. Only leaders who agree with his divisive tactics are welcome in his circles.

Like many of Trump's supporters on here, Trump groups peaceful protesters into the same category as rioters and Antifa supporters. He has yet to sit down with any of the protesters to work with them and show that he supports what they are striving for. He probably thinks they are all Marxists and racist towards white people like what we see from many of his supporters here.

Since the racial tension has been created and is being fueled by democrats, attending the funeral of a Trump-hating black democrat politician would have been hypocrisy in my eyes.

September 2019 - "... Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) ... came out for starting impeachment proceedings into President Donald Trump’s conduct on Tuesday. “I truly believe the time to begin impeachment proceedings against this president has come,” ..."

What a despicable man John Lewis was ...

There is not an emoji sarcastic enough for my taste.

Your post are mostly readable, sometimes there is an AC/DC feel to them.....:thinking

Wow, what a dishonest poll.

First off, the Communist party and their minions in the CCP press have outlawed funerals among the proletarian. According to our rulers, a funeral spreads Wuhan virus. People are denied sitting with loved ones as they die of cancer (to be listed as Covid) because of the virus. So going to a funeral as part of the elite who don't have to follow the restrictions is a level of reeking hypocrisy that the president is above.

Further, Potentate Obamugabe turned the funeral into a Bolshevik hate rally. democrats attack people in the streets on a daily basis. democrats burn down houses and businesses of enemies of the party. The president would not be safe - even with secret service - among all those Communists.

democrats hate whites - fact

So, no doubt Beijing Biden will be attending the funeral of Herman Cain?

Oh wait, will we be ALLOWED to have a funeral for Cain? Or are those only for party members?

Hypocrisy - it's the foundation that the Communist democrat party rests on.

When asked how Lewis would be remembered by history - Trump said he made a mistake by not attending his inauguration. Apparently not doing proper lip service to Trump is all Lewis ever accomplished.

For one glorious moment as I read the title, I thought it was a joint event! Hope raised and dashed!

With those words, we all know whose side you would have been on on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

I didnt bother to vote as this is unimportant and concerns me not in the slightest either way.....meh.

I read a post yesterday that opined that when Trump is laid to rest, they will need to engineer a French drain at the grave...........
