Is obsessing about race racist?

Yes. And it is about gaining as much of the black vote as possible by the Democratic Party.
Obama did it without even trying and he did it TWICE!!
Now the Democrats need idiot Joe to tell a black person "If you don't know who to vote for, then you're not black".
Is that racist or what?

It's not like there aren't other, more important issues

I think it's all virtue signaling...it's like

I'm not really crazy about Blacks...prefer my own race like everyone else...but I'm going to ramble on excessively about Blacks so people will think I'm a good person

Meanwhile there is a literally life and death issue facing America, namely whether it is ok to kill a child in the womb

For 47 years many Americans have said Yes

And for 47 years many Americans, almost half of us have said No, it is not ok

Racism is bad

Abortion is murder

Good ramble.
But you didn't say anything about how racist every single police department is in this country.
And how every city with a police department (about 18,000 of them) should disband and turn over policing responsibilities to the communities they protect. That's one way to keep the BLM off your front lawn.

That should keep anyone rambling for the next three months.

But Dems always get a pass

Ever notice that? they can do any kind of evil and get away with it (with other libs anyhow) but a R.... OMG.. Rs. Can't even breathe right

And the Rs just seem to take it...

No wonder half the country actually considers voting for them!

Say No to ignorance say No to fake news, America!

Is obsessing about race racist?

Is protecting a womans right to choose, treating women like whores? I worshipping God a lot, demonic? Is wearing a mask, loving the virus? You right wingers have cockamamie logic.

Do you PROMISE to tell us when it is African Americans turn to live in dignity?

MLK envisioned a race-neutral country where people were judged by the content of their character.

We have the opposite of that today. If you're white you have "whiteness" traits like perfectionism, ambition, objectivity and other horrible, horrible qualities. :doh

Old racism, meet the new racism.

i'm not sure. how do they handle that in Russia? do they still disappear people to Siberia?

Yeah, Im sure if you right wingers had not aSSASSINATED MLK, he would be fine with putting brown children in cages. Im sure MLK would be fine with breaking up families. Im sure MLK would agree that the civil war was ONLY about states rights. Im sure MLK would be shouting down BLM at every protest.

You dont know MLK, in fact, you HATE MLK. You just have only seen the right wing propaganda on him.

"You right wingers?" So I'm to blame for some nutjob assassinating MLK when I was 5? I guess that's part of my whiteness heritage too! :lamo

If MLK were here now, he would be calling for an end to the violence. He would condemn the nightly rioting and looting that has gone on in Portland for two months now.

Sometimes. Depends on who is there. It takes practice to not judge by looks (either good or bad) regarding accepting other individuals. Your past environment, family and friends can certainly
color your perception of what you "see". I catch myself doing it once in a while. I secretly say some crap to myself like "Yeah, a coral snake (very poisonous) looks beautiful..doesn't it"
"you're better than this" Usually straightens my ass out. :)

Is obsessing about race racist?

A constant focus on race makes you obsessed with the subject but not necessarily racist. An obsession with racism can lead to 'virtue signaling' in which the intent isn't all bad but they get a feeling of self-righteous empowerment thru condemnation and group approval. Everyone wants their opinion to have gravitas and importance to boost their self-esteem.

Is obsessing about race racist?

Post DNA genetics has long since shown that the notion that Homo Sapiens is divided into races is false. So declaring that races exist is indeed racist - and ignorant.

Scientific method does enable us to say beyond doubt that a theory is 'true' in all circumstances but it can and often does disprove theories; that is how science moves forward. That is how it is with 'race'.

This post is as stupid as it is repulsive; that is quite some feat.

The left politicizes everything, especially during an election cycle. Anymore, the overuse of "racism" has become so watered down that, in many cases, it is dismissed out of hand due to the sheer emotional exhaustion that just hearing the word can cause. It becomes easier to think that, if everything is racism, then nothing is racism. The Democratic party's penchant for "crisis mongering" (my words, i.e., squeezing out anything of political value from an event that they deem will help them garner votes) de-sensitizes people, effecting an intransigence that makes it difficult for legitimate debate of the issue and quashing any real solution to the problem. To them, the George Floyd tragedy becomes mere political fodder only to be used against political opponents instead of something that should be viewed apolitically, one that perhaps could be used as an opportunity for a real and proper discussion that might lead to a real solution.

You're exhausted by hearing the word "racism"? Imagine experiencing racism every day of your life.

When your parties platform is loathsome and unworkable, the only hope you have is to instill hate and division. The Democrats see Trump obtaining jobs for minorities and that scares the hell out of them. It is much harder to push the victim mantra down the throat of someone who says I am living better now than ever.

Is obsessing about race racist?

I get the temptation to reciprocate allegations of racism but no, focusing on race in itself does not mean someone is racist.
