Drop your radical right-wing sources and look at reality. The piece of ****, who was impeached over a clear attempt to commit treason, can't even get a former Republican president to support him. He just had McConnell and McCarthy push back on him for his suggestion to postpone his defeat so that he can squat longer in the White House. And along the way he has Republican groups destroying him on television ads by merely presenting the truth. He is an amoral, ego-driven plutocrat with autocrat tendencies, who has betrayed American interests in virtually every region on the planet, who can't even bring himself to take personal responsibility for a single thing. Oh, it's all about Trump.

For a "slight" conservative, I would think that you would find disgust in the fact that Trump has called even the center-right "fake news" for daring to criticize him. He even blasted FOX News for "not working for us anymore" the moment it posted an unfavorable poll about his impeachment. He even just blasted the Reagan Foundation and Paul Ryan as traders. There is no center-right anymore. Anybody there is just a so-called "rino" now, which help to populate the conservative's idea of the growing and bloated... "the left." All Trump has left you is the radical right-wing, the alt-right, and his ignorant Tweets as an identity; and to prove your loyalty, you persist in embracing just that.

Here, your defense of Trump involves "going after" a statement Biden made thirteen years ago, in which he apologized for five days later. That's how desperate you are. And if this is how desperate you are for a tactic to see a Trump re-election, ask yourself what it is about Trump that you support that has put you in this position. With Republicans everywhere taking the opportunity to jump ship this year, how can you continue to choose to be so blind for the man? Oh...but...er...Biden said this thirteen years ago!!! Everyone ignore the last three years!!!

I’m sorry, it’s pointless and childish to criticize Biden for a statement in which he clearly indicated that he felt black Americans were unclean and inarticulate, and that, to him, Obama was a refreshing change?

The only person being childish here is the poster having a fit because we’re actually going on the offensive, and preventing you from fooling the American public into thinking they’re getting a decent, moral candidate.

Question for you since you brought up Obama waited so long to endorse Biden. What is your opinion of no living Republican past President has endorsed Trump?

Trump had to go after his brother to win the Republican nomination. It’s just politics.

Interesting how the NYT jumped on the “anonymous source” who told them Bush wasn’t going to vote for Trump. And then what do you know, Bush came out and said they were crazy!

Looks like it was just a liberal fantasy.

Not enough choices in the poll. The statement was most certainly a racially insensitive gaffe, but look at the alternative: a racist, cruel, vain, whiny, senile, moronic, twisted, narcissistic egomaniac who wants to cancel the election if he had half a chance - and thinks he does.

No contest. Biden is a man behind the times who's trying to catch up; Trump is dragging the whole country down to hell.

Am I the only one who heard it a different way?

"I mean, you've got the first mainstream African-American [candidate]. [And he is a likeable candidate because he] is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy." I know his wording did not get that across, but that is how the inflection sounded to me, especially with the way he paused. Maybe I am reading too much into how he said it instead of what he said? :shrug:

When you are trying to discredit Biden being a valid candidate because of ONE comment made, it is a valid comparison to show what Trump has done unless you are a hypocrite of course. So tell us do you plan to vote for Trump given all of Trump's LIES, GAFFES, and RACIST comments? I'm guessing yes, so you are DISMISSED as having nothing but partisan hackery comments.

I think Jesse Jackson is the only person who should be offended by this statement. Biden was discussing presidential candidates, which is obvious to anyone who can read.

He also apologized for the clumsy way he expressed this very real fact.

So you are ok with Bush not supporting Trump. Yet you are concerned Obama was late in giving his support to Biden. Got it. :mrgreen:

Back in 2016 neither Bush's would endorse Trump. Trump has not gained GW Bush's endorsement for 2020.

Republicans voted for an actual birther to be their next president. Last poll I saw showed something like still 40% or so of the Republican base believing Obama's birth certificate is fake.

You do realize Bush didn't vote for Trump in 2016, right? Neither did his father. In fact, his father voted for Clinton.
