Stats indicated that about a million have been spied upon internationally, and most of those were people NOT in the USA. Even those in the USA had potential terror ties and very few were "normal".

I think Joe the Plumber might blow your facts.

Whatever gave you that idea, vets are not in fear of speaking out in public. There will not be any death threats. As a veteran I can tell you that vets speak out all of the time in public without fear of threats to themselfs or their families.

Active duty personnel are bound by the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice). Freedom of speech is restricted under this code. However I can assure you that there families or their own lifes will not be threatened should they speak out against the war or the Commander in Chief.

What gave me that idea? Some of the vets that I am close to have told me their own personal reality. For you to even sit here and claim that you can assure me that no vets will not be threatened lets me know that either you are misunderstanding what I am trying to say or you are out of touch with facts.

This vet does not believe you either. :2wave:

unfortunately, respect for life includes respect for president bush and an appreciation of his human dignity, regardless of your opinion of his character or his leadership. you have certainly given the impression that you possess neither.

I do not have to respect the man nor his position to respect his life. I do not wish him death just tried for the crimes he has commited.:doh

That would not be allowed. However you can draw your own conclusion based on the clues I provided.

I call BS on your story.

You seem to have a pattern for calling B.S. on anything you disagree with.

I disagree. Respect for the Office of President of the United States should ALWAYS be given.

Presidents have done FAR WORSE than Bush... Far Worse.

Harding with lack of control over the Market leading to the Great Depression and Teapot Dome.
LBJ for escalating the Vietnam War too epic proportions, killing millions more than Bush will ever do.
Reagan for de-regulating the S&L's and Iran/Contra, bankrupting millions of people and thousands of S&L's.
Nixon for Watergate and illegal bombing of Cambodia and North Vietnam, again, killing millions and absolutely invading other nations illegally.
Grant and Crédit Mobilier & the Whiskey Ring.
Clinton and lying to Congress, Whitewater... a Federal Offense AND leaving Somalia like a coward, giving OBL the Green Light to target the cowardly Americans with no back bone starting all of this crap that Bush is trying to mop up. Blame Clinton, not Bush please...

Keep it in perspective please, if Bush should be out, then most presidents should be out.
Give Obama time... the stats indicate that he will break some laws and do some nasty **** of his own.

I do not recall saying I respect any of these other examples you tossed out here and this thread is not about them:roll:

If you wish to blindly respect folks simply based on a job? Knock yourself out but I will remain an adult that makes peeps earn their right to my respect:mrgreen:

Privacy is one. It's now noted that "normal" or "general" Americans have been spied on via phone tapping. Some think this is no big deal, but I certainly do.

Also because of Bush Nazi Regime? The 5-0 can bust into your home without a search warrant. :(

‘Boots throwing syndrome’ hits journalists worldwide
RT: Features : ‘Boots throwing syndrome’ hits journalists worldwide

The echo of the Iraqi journalist’s scandalous ‘shoe attack’ on President George Bush has reached the Ukrainian city of Odessa, where a journalist has done the same to one of the Ukraine-NATO Coordination Council leaders.

After Muthathar al-Zaidi, an Iraqi journalist, threw both his shoes at President George W. Bush during a news conference in Baghdad, the method of protest seems to be gaining popularity in other countries. In Odessa, during the opening ceremony of the Euro Atlantic Cooperation Centre which took place in the South-Ukrainian Pedagogical University, a journalist expressed his protest is a similar way.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face— forever. (Unless you throw it? :p )

The office has earned our respect. Bush has not! The Dixie Chicks had it half right. All of us should be ashamed that our president, who most of you voted for!, is the lying traitor that he is!

Clinton lied about a BJ and hurt only his wife's feelings.

Bush lied, for personal and financial gain, and over 4,200 Americans DIED!!!

Whitewater? Huh??? You mean that multi million dollar witch hunt of the Repubs' to try to nail anything on the Clintons, that accomplished nothing? :doh

Reagan ran out of Lebanon with his tail between his legs. OBL said this cowardly action is what encouraged him to come after us. So much for your hero, ehh?

And don't forget that Reagan made that deal with the Iranians to keep those American hostages captive until he took office just so he would look like the hero he was not! Carter negotiated their release and Reagan convinced the Iranians to hold them there longer for his own selfish, ego, political reasons!

Reagan got more credit than he deserved for the hostages' release just like he got more credit for Russia imploding than he deserved!

So, if you're going to label anyone a coward you should be sure not to leave out the real cowards.

The only thing that idiot Bush is trying to mop up is the evidence that proves that he and dickie and rummy and gonzo are war criminals. But, as with everything he does, he won't be successful. Charges will be brought against all of those traitors. It's already happening.

As more proof comes out what bush and dickie really did, the further his rank among presidents will drop.

Eventually, he will hold the title "Worst President In History"!

I just think of everything she posts as background noise. Sort of like ska.

Do you ever post anything that is not a direct personal attack on someone? Does it feed your ego to try to insult others? :(

jallman, you are such a little boy. lol.

Let's try this again then... ;)

It's not about respect for those individuals only... it is about respect for the Executive Office regardless of who is President.
If you want to dislike Bush, that is fine, if you want him imprisoned, then that is fine too.
What you don't do, is disrespect the Executive Office EVER by throwing a shoe at the President, nor by thinking that this action is justifiable or good. ;)

Just support the Presidents removal and be done with it.

By doing what you are doing, or saying... it devalues the ENTIRE OFFICE.

So when Obama comes in, being President does not mean as much, nor is it as important or powerful of an institution, simply because you have double standards. You disrespect the Office sometimes, and not others based off of your emotions instead of differentiating.

Are you saying that my respectful and logical approach is childish, or something? :rofl

Again, it is NOT about blindly respecting "folks", it is about having respect for the Exective Office of the United States of America.
That is all... I guess that does seem a bit immature, now that I think about it.

Dude, calm down.

If you read again, and listen to what I have to say...
I think Bush is a moron and a ****ty President.

That doesn't mean that I support anybody throwing a shoe at my President.
The one that I didn't vote for either time, BTW. ;)

All I have been talking about is respecting the Office of the President of the United States of America, and I have sound reasoning for doeing so, even when a President is bad.
