Nope, yet people act like it's the black plague.
Why are Democrats so eager for mail-in voting?
What's the percentage of our population which is at a significant degree of risk? 1%? 1.5%?
Why are Democrats so eager for mail-in voting?
Thanks for the detailed response lol.I have always been eager for the expansion of voting opportunities for all eligible electors; longer early voting periods, no excuse absentee voting, open vote by mail, and a national federal voting holiday (but only paid if you turn in your ballot receipt to your employer to prove you voted).
I was eager for those things even for the 42 years I was a registered Republican. Guess that was another reason why some Right Wingers would call me a "Libtard"?
But I am with Donny on this.
“Absentee ballots are great because absentee ballots you have to go through a process to get ’em. It’s actually a great thing, absentee ballots. I’m going to be voting absentee." ~ President Donald J Trump
Absentee ballots aka voting by mail are a great thing, and the vetting process for eligible electors requesting absentee ballots is the same for electors asking for universal mail in ballots. Donny doesn't quite understand that nuance, but he is right that mailing in your ballot is a great thing!
All these people demanding or those asking for universal mail in balloting should just start using the following terminology "No Excuse Universal Absentee Balloting".
Then our ersatz president would be tickled with it, he'd be smiling and emulating Martha, "It's a good thing!"
But my question is why aren't some Republicans eager for mail in voting? Why does the idea seem to scare the crap out of some of them? Why does anything that expands the voting franchise for legal eligible electors seem to freak out so many Republicans? Those are things I have never understood about many Republicans?
How can one or any call themselves Patriots yet want to have legal eligible elector suppression? Isn't everyone getting the opportunity to vote who is legally eligible to vote an exercise of their Constitutional right?
Thanks for the detailed response lol.
Mail in voting itself doesn’t bother me as much, early voting before Biden has had a chance to appear on a debate stage does, but I’ll throw it all back in your hands...
Obviously trump thinks a lot of people in Florida are at risk. You need to get with the program, or didn't you get your updated plan yet, stupid mail system....
Ok... Whatever.

The Vast Majority of Americans already know who they are voting for
Seeing as you can't read that, I'll do it for you.

“Whether you call it Vote by Mail or Absentee Voting, in Florida the election system is Safe and Secure, Tried and True. Florida’s Voting system has been cleaned up (we defeated Democrats attempts at change), so in Florida I encourage all to request a Ballot & Vote by Mail! #MAGA,” Trump wrote.
Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington already conduct their elections entirely by mail, while California and Vermont have decided to do so this year due to the pandemic.

Evidence of two things: Trump is mischaracterizing mail-in voting and mail-in voting en masse still works.
I'd like to see if Democrats now start shying away from mail-in voting now that Trump, apparently, is behind it. Interesting political move.
I really don't think this is true. The vast majority of DP Posters already know who they are voting for.
Are you implying the results on November 3 will be identical to the results four years ago?Are you saying the "vast majority" of 65,844,954 voters who voted against Donald Trump November 8th in 2016 and the vast majority of the 62,979,879 voters who voted for Donald Trump in November 2016 are, so far, clueless who they will vote for come November 3rd?

Lol I wouldn't mind that, I'm with you all the way.

I’m glad you brought this up. Federal Law established the first Tuesday in November as Election Day.
Just because Democrats want voters to be able to cast their votes early, doesn’t automatically repeal the law or make it go off the books.
