Oh...I'm talking about what the Trump administration did. You are grousing about what Trump said (or, according to you, didn't say).

As far as I know, Trump and his people spent a lot of time talking to the Governors and giving them sound scientific and medical advice. That was just one of the things within his Presidential power...and his responsibility.

If Trump actually did that, all 50 states would be good now.

We are talking about the guy who denied being responsible for tackling the pandemic when everyone knew the opposite is true.

Just to be clear, Trump didn't "handle the Coronavirus", he was told early on he didn't have that authority. Governors like Cuomo and Newsom told him so. Of course, they begged him for supplies, equipment and funds and he generally delivered. Both Cuomo and Newsom amongst others praised Trump for what he did. IMHO, Trump did what a President is supposed to do in a federalist form of government he supported the states, worked on provide support, supplies, equipment and personnel. Yeah, he lobbied for closing and openings, but deferred to governors to make that call.

And after 5 months, after Trump said anyone who want's a test can get a test, people are waiting in 10-12 hour lines, waiting for up to 8 days to get the results, and in some cases can't even get a test.

He has called it a hoax, played it down, lied telling people it will just disappear like a miracle. He has fought with all the experts making the information getting to the general public a disaster.

He has pushed many states to open before they met the basic CDC guide lines causing huge outbreaks and many unnecessary deaths. His handling of the Virus is a COMPLETE failure of historic proportions.

Yes.

He did everything that was within his Presidential power to do.

The 50 Governors? Well, that's a mixed bag.

He did not. He mentioned the DPA but never fully used it. We are now seeing PPE shortages again, testing component shortages and a lack of lab capacity to run the tests in a timely manor.

This lame idiot is not a leader, but a failure, plain and simple. 135,000 dead. Florida and Arizona are out of ICU beds and Texas is close. None of this had to happen. In fact with 4% of the global population, we have 25% of the cases and deaths. Any logical reason for that????

Sound scientific medical advice is not telling them to liberate. Open up their economies before any one state met the CDC guideline of declining cases for 14 days. Not one republican state got this right because they were sucking up to Trump. Now look where we are.

Telling people things they need to hear, like reassurances and information. When he doesn't know, just keeping his mouth shut and letting the experts do the talking. Not contradicting the experts. Acting like a leader, not a TV talk show personality worried about ratings.

Yes. You want flowery, useless words that the media can spin against him.

Trump didn't deny being responsible for tackling the pandemic. He denied being responsible for things the governors did.

His actions are legal and conform to the restrictions placed on the Federal Government by our laws.

What else is needed/demanded/allowed from the Chief Executive?

Wrong.

We are seeing isolated shortages. You can lay that at the feet of those responsible in those isolated areas. PPE, testing components and lab capacity are fully available in other areas where they have taken steps to make them available.

Here in Colorado...with our Democratic governor...began opening our economy in accordance with the government guidelines back on May 29. We are doing fine. I can safely go to a restaurant any time I want to. I can go over to Manitou Springs...a nearby town full of touristy shops and they are all open, people from across the country are visiting. Local small business are making money again.

btw, another state with a Democratic governor just closed their entire state down again. California. Evidently they didn't get it right. Evidently Newsom was sucking up to Trump, too.

Your state reversed it's re-opening. With barely a patchwork response at best since there's a leadership vacuum at the Federal level, every re-opening is doomed to fail.

Who in the world would be so stupid as to think that a twelve-year-old girl serving as our twittering president is doing a good job at anything?

Leadership....

No. I want leadership and not giving a darn about ratings. Doing what is right as a leader, by example and in words.

Q Thank you so much, Mr. President. Dr. Fauci said earlier this week that the lag in testing was, in fact, “a failing.” Do you take responsibility for that?

And when can you guarantee that every single American who needs a test will be able to have a test? What’s the date of that?

THE PRESIDENT: Yeah, no, I don’t take responsibility at all, because we were given a — a set of circumstances and we were given rules, regulations, and specifications from a different time. It wasn’t meant for this kind of an event with the kind of numbers that we’re talking about. And what we’ve done is redesigned it very quickly with the help of the people behind me. And we’re now in very, very strong shape.

Colorado has NOT reversed our reopening. Hell, even our gyms and pools are open.

The leadership at the federal level has been provided in the form of the guidelines. There is a "patchwork response" from the various states because all the states have different conditions and the state governors are deciding for themselves how they handle their response...as it should be.

Please. Don't spin and lie in your dishonest attempt to blame Trump.

So what?

That was four months ago. Since then, thanks to his efforts, testing is available to anyone. Has been for a long time. Hell, I could have gotten a free test back in June. If I'd had symptoms, I could have gotten a test back in April. But that was in my state.

Meanwhile, in other states, they still didn't...and in some, still don't...have tests for their hospitals.

That's not Trump's fault. He did what he was responsible for: Supporting the states.

How about you provide the news. After all, it's YOUR contention.

No, I'm happier thinking about what you're going to encounter when you try going out tonight.

This is where I went for breakfast yesterday morning.

Western Omelette 2 – Serving the Fountain area with Pride

Due to them reducing the number of booths we could sit at, I actually had to wait about five minutes to get a seat, but I was able to enjoy one of their humongous meals. (their range of hot sauces are a local area legend)

Do you ever read TAD's signature?

"No, I don't take responsibility for this at all" - Donald J. Trump

Do you believe that Trump handles the Corona Crisis very well?

I choose to have states take care of this virus hoax in this year and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.

I generally dismiss out of context nonsense.
