Is the virus thing overblown? A hoax?

More testing might result in more cases but more testing shouldn't result in more hospitalizations unless something has gone very wrong. Sick people who end up in the hospital will get there whether testing is increasing or not.

They aren't dying. People went to the hospital for the flu, also. This is just more hysteria by snowflakes.

There has always been a chance for younger people to need hospitalization from Covid infection. Younger people needed a certain co-morbidity: immune deficiency or respiratory disease. You're talking about, at least, hospitalizations, right?

For one reason or another they want to claim that anyone can be hospitalized from Covid. Anyone can get sick from Covid. Not nearly as many are hospitalized or die.

Believe it. If it were true that anyone could be hospitalized from Covid, I'd proclaim it.

Lots of people are being hospitalized or dying from Covid...from social distancing.

At 120,000 people based on the population of 330 million people, that means that a whopping 0.00036 percent of the population as died. This means that just 1 in 30,000 people die from COVID. Of those, 80% were over 65 with MAJOR, MAJOR health problems going in, many having already been in nursing homes.Further, of those under 65 who died, those people ALSO had health issues.

All this hysteria is just that. A healthy person has almost NO chance of dying from COVID, BUT, because of the hysteria if you go in with symptoms and test positive for COVID. Whaddya think they are gonna do? You got it. They are gong to put you in the hospital, whereas in years prior they would have giving you some antibiotics and sent you packing.

So,under 65, you have this chance of dying>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>0.000075 and this is at the current death rate total, or roughly 25,000 people died from COVID who are under 65 and again, even many of THOSE people had health issues. So, stop fretting. This is not the end of the world.

Yep. If you trust the MSM you could read about how the doctors are quite alarmed at the changes in the demographics involved. I'll let you look it up for yourself as some lessons are better learned after a bit of homework.

I am not necessarily comparing social distancing...it is a combination of failures that has led to where we are now. Our government is responsible for protecting the general population, they failed at that....including Democrats. So, no, I am not just blaming Republicans...I am blaming all sides for not addressing the issue forcefully and quickly. For not telling everyone how grave this virus is. It isn't just the death rate, it is the permanent, non reversable damage to organs in the younger population.

Texas Medical Center is the largest Medical center in the World. It is at 100% capacity. I used to work in this Medical Center, at Texas Children's Hospital. The Med Center is massive. Its full....we need to be worried.

social distancing, masks, proper hygiene techniques, closing or limiting store occupancy. We have done more than just staying 6ft from one another. However, some folks decided it was a hoax and refuse to wear masks or practice appropriate measures...whether it is the protests or Trump having a rally, they aren't doing the right thing. Fortunately, the rally wasn't full. My brother was one of those non believers...I just bought him a mask yesterday, that he loves...I told him, I will buy it, if you wear it...and he promised to do so. He is starting to accept this is real. My husband has an uncle who is dying from Covid19, because he is afflicted with uncontrolled diabetes, it is worse...his uncle isn't in the US, but it has been an eye opening reality

Well, it's obviously not a hoax. The virus is all over the world with hundreds of thousands of people dead from it. It's not as bad as the Spanish Flu, but that doesn't mean it isn't a pandemic.

In the coming year the most likely situation will be everyone in the world will/can test positive for the virus. This virus will be like the measles virus and will be with you for the rest of your life if contact before. But the corona virus will not kill anywhere near what the so-called health officials will be tell us just as the measles virus won't cause shingles in majority of people.
