Ali was a known activist for black causes but he was old school justice. Do you disagree with his son?

Muhammad Ali's son said his dad wouldn't have supported Black Lives Matter movement or protests over George Floyd's death

Muhammad Ali Jr. said he did not believe his father would have supported the current Black Lives Matter movement, calling participants in the movement "racist," The New York Post reported Saturday.

He added: "It's not just Black lives matter, white lives matter, Chinese lives matter, all lives matter, everybody's life matters. God loves everyone - he never singled anyone out. Killing is wrong no matter who it is."

''My father would have said, 'They ain't nothing but devils," Ali Jr, 47, told The New York Post. "My father said, 'all lives matter.' I don't think he'd agree."

"It's a racial statement," he said of Black Lives Matter. "It's pitting black people against everyone else. It starts racial things to happen; I hate that."

What's your point? If all blacks don't support BLM it is somehow illegitimate?

I think the point is that BLM is a divisive and ridiculous racist joke that causes more problems than it solves.

No, I don't agree with his son. Ali jr. was estranged from his father and hardly knew him. He's not speaking for his father...he's using his father's memory to give his own irrelevant opinion some relevancy. MLK jr's niece tried to do the same thing. Opportunists would sell out their own mother if they thought it would benefit them personally.

So they found the one black guy who does not know that "black lives matter" is a snappier version of "black lives matter just as much as other lives". Maybe we can hear from Kanye next.

You can find at least one person saying anything.

There is absolutely no way Muhammad Ali would ever support a terrorist organization, which is what BLM has become.

Under 18 U.S. Code § 2331 if they involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State, and appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, or influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion, or affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping, then they are a domestic terrorist organization.

Under that definition, illegally blocking traffic, or even just failing to obey a lawful order from law enforcement makes all BLM rioters effectively domestic terrorists, and they should be treated accordingly.

As Ali Jr. points out, of course BLM is racist. Just like picking a VP based on color is racist, or based on sex is sexist. BLM is a progressive movement in the democrat party. The progressive wing of the democrat party has become emboldened by the lack of will to stand up to their violence and destructive tactics. They want police reform, so they riot, burn down a few cities, beat up and kill a few people, and bingo! Police reform. In Minneapolis they want to completely get rid of the PD. They burned the city for a week or 2 and guess what? The city council is moving in that direction. The boy mayor said he knows his "brokedness and privilige" but he can't completely defund the police in front of a mob of BLMers, and was told to "get the "F" outta here", by a young "lady" leading the mob. As they chanted "Jacob go home", the MAYOR OF THE CITY, slinked away, head hung low, like a little boy being sent to his room.

I have to stop there because words have meanings but you are pretending they don't.

PSA

Colloquial racism: a belief in the inherent superiority or inferiority of one race relative to others. (In sociology, "bigotry").

Sociological racism: that, but only when it is a majority power aiming at a minority power.

Looking for a black or a female VP specifically is not "racist" under any definition of the word, other than those fake definitions that lying right wingers make up to attack groups that Fox or OANN told them to attack. But we shouldn't be surprised. These are the same people who use "socialist" to to mean "thing I do not like."

Well, just look who Liked your post.

It is illegitimate. It's just interesting that it take a young black with a famous father to call it out.

Black Lives Matter as a sentiment is unarguable.
Black Lives Matter as an organization is unarguably fraudulent.

Your post exemplifies why the left has no idea what they are talking about. ANYTIME a specific race is treated differently from any other group just because of their race, it is blatantly racist. That's what racism is.

No. It means that police violence is the issue. It happens to everybody and it is wrong.

No. Racism is not singling out a race because of their race. Racism is assigning some kind of value to that race because of their race.

Saying black people are killed more by cops is not racist.

Saying black people are killed more by cops because black people are more violent is racist.

That is a good way to distinguish it...

White Lives Matter is the domestic terrorist group, not BLM.

White Lives Matter
White Lives Matter, a racist response to the civil rights movement Black Lives Matter, is a neo-Nazi group that is growing into a movement as more and more white supremacist groups take up its slogans and tactics.

In Its Own Words

“What happens to blacks in this country at the hand of law enforcement is none of our concern ... other than to prepare to restore order and rebuild our neighborhoods taking back our lands one community at a time. When the enemy destroys … we guard our town borders and make our homes white and great again.”
—Rebecca Barnette, White Lives Matter co-founder and Women’s Division leader of the National Socialist Movement, July 16, 2016

“Do not allow our lands to turn into Haiti ... time to shut the savage beasts down. Shut down Black Lives Matter.”
—Rebecca Barnette, July 9, 2016

“It should be apparent to the world ... Obama is for the *******.”
—Rebecca Barnette July 9, 2016

“Ever hear the term if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and acts like a duck ... then it's a ******. This is why I hate *******.”
—Rebecca Barnette, April 2, 2016

“And the ******* are too damn STUPID to realize Obama is using them to bring in martial law and the men in blue suits.”
—Rebecca Barnette, July 10, 2016

Dictionaries disagree. I'll trust a dictionary over a Trumpist who will tell any lie to protect, defend, and uphold racism.

You're like most liberals. Any black person that strays off the democrat plantation have nefarious motives right? Do you speak for all black people? The dems are behind the "Police are disproportionally killing unarmed black men" in America. That it's an "epidemic", resulting from "systemic racism", another false narrative.

Nah, I judge people by their character, not the color of their skin.

Ali jr doesn't speak for all black people either....or did you think he did?

Name the terrorist acts they have organized and endorsed

Knock yourself out. What the dictionary says is exactly what I said, but without context.

BLM is a meaningless trope and liberal dog whistle. Virtually no one believes black lives do not matter.

It's not even certain that George Floyd was killed because of racism. He had a personal and troubled relationship with Officer Chauvin which might explain why George was killed.

We can start with the five Dallas police officers they assassinated in 2016.

Simply blocking traffic or disobeying an order given by law enforcement are criminal acts, and when combined with attempts to coerce and intimidate the government into changing its policy through those criminal acts, that makes it an act of terrorism.

they didn't assasinate 5 police officers, nor did they endorse that. A mentally ill, dishonorably discharged soldier did. He wasn't a member of Black Lives Matter either.
