Maybe Trump is playing 4 dimensional chess and we're all too stupid to realize the brilliance of his plan?

Do you think trump can spell "dimensional"?

Trump says he's mad Bolton released his book.

Trump keeps attacking Bolton and his book, pushing the book into the best seller list.

Is Trump smart? And he's getting a cut of the Bolton's profits on the book?

Or is Trump so stupid that he doesn't realize that attacking Bolton's book will just make it more popular?

IQ-wise, trump is one of the dumbest presidents of all time.

However, he's a charismatic man without any personal boundaries, and that frees him to make political calculations that saner politicians would never consider.

But there's a catch to this. Those kinds of brash maneuvers can win you the battle but hurt your overall war effort.

So far all I've heard is that Bolton has sour grapes over getting fired. Funny how Bolton is known to be a hawk's hawk who wants wars with everyone and nuke all of our enemies while Trump doesn't and yet the left want to back Bolton over Trump.

Good for you for repeating Trump's talking points!! Nice job comrade. Virtual pat on the head for you!!

The left have been screaming for over three years now that Trump is Putin's bitch and that Russia influenced the 2016 election and is trying to influence the 2020 election and now the left want to believe that, even though Trump has been beating up China regularly, that Trump asked China for help in the election. Do you even see how ridiculous that sounds?

Good, Trump can sue Bolton for defamation. Discovery ought to be a lot of fun! And if the GOP don't believe Bolton, the Senate can call him to testify to these things under oath, so Bolton will risk jail and his wealth for those lies. Let's do it! I'm with you!

Another false tell-all book from another fired, former disgruntled employee, spewing half-truths and outright lies about Trump.

Imagine the book that could be written about Bolton's lies convincing George W. Bush to invade Iraq.

Trump is far from stupid.

Great, let the Senate get him under oath and testify to these allegations! Sue him for defamation!

Of course you know that won't happen because the testimony and/or discovery would be devastating to Trump, so what we're left with is Trump and his faithful lemmings making these allegations.

You have to admit, Trump's thinking we have a vaccine for AIDS is really stupid. I'm not interested in seeing Bolton's book. I want to see the book by Mary Trump (Donald's niece).

Like anyone capable of being elected president, I think he's intelligent in his own way. But I think he's ignorant of many things, and lacks the qualities needed to make a decent leader.

In fact, he's a very stable genius!

Don't confuse cunning and charisma with intelligence.

The former will carry one far.

The latter is a requirement of actual greatness.

Cunning is a form of intelligence. I'm not sure Trump is cunning. I don't think he thinks things through enough to qualify. He has an emotional intelligence in the way he connects with people who feel left out or have grievances. It doesn't matter what they are. He makes these people feel understood and cared for and seen.

Me too. I'm pre-ordering it.

Ask him to find the bishop and he’ll come up empty handed.
Ask him to find the penis, and he’ll grab it with 2 fingers (muscle memory!!).

I agree, but being 'ignorant of many things' is of course the normal state of things. We are ALL ignorant of many things, and that goes double for a President. He can't possibly be informed about the 100s of broad subjects that are the purview of the U.S. government.

What's unique about Trump is he's proudly ignorant, makes no effort to inform himself, and doesn't trust or care about what his advisors who are informed tell him. COVID is a good example. Every one of his stupid comments about the pandemic were easily avoided if he just, you know, asked his expert advisors and did/said what they told him, or even better left the comments on the details up to them.

I think his history of never really fitting in with the high end NYC crowd might have led him to the point where he felt he was always the victim, the pariah in polite society.

Nah, he's just being his usual butt hurt reactionary self, deathly afraid that his con will come to crashing painful end.

Trump is ignorant of things most moderately aware people know. Finland is an independent country. Lincoln was a Republican. Stuff like that. It indicates to me a very insular personality that has no interest in things that don't personally affect him.
