I don't think they can prove intent.
Intent? Unlikely, unless something in this cops past suggests he had a racial agenda.

Third degree murder? No doubt because that's what we saw.

Now we're going back to OJ? I'm beginning to think you're stuck in a time warp that randomly zaps you into periods from decades ago.

And, yes, the jury that acquitted OJ were racist themselves.

PS, if cops killed unarmed Jewish people regularly, people would riot about that, too.

Yes, there are some bad cops. they sometimes wrongly kill white people and black people. It is sometimes a mistake-like the cop in the Cleveland area who shot a young black boy because the boy pointed a realistic looking pellet gun at the cop. In those circumstances you have less than a second to decide what to do. Some cops are racist thugs and they may brutalize members of different races. But sometimes when a white cop kills a black or a black cop kills a white, racism has nothing to do with it.

What does a felony record have to do with it? Do the cops know who the suspect is and run a background check beforehand. Was the suspect violent in the past and they knew about it? I do support cops in general but I don't think omniscience is in their job description.

There is evidence the cop and Floyd worked together at one time. The real question though, was why this level of violence towards a guy whose alleged offense is about the least violent crime I can think of. Passing a bad bill that he might not have even known was "queer"

Hating law and order and loving anarchy is one of the core doctrines on the new Democratic Fascist Progressive Party.

Law and order that does not serve the people is not law and order worth upholding.

I think 2nd degree is a good fit, but I'm not a lawyer. When a person is pleading for his life and you don't respond, when you mock him, telling him to get up as you kneel on his neck while he's handcuffed and your buddies hold his legs, there is something very wrong with you.

The independent autopsy that WASN'T done by a crooked medical office, and instead one of the best in the business in Michael Baden, did find that asphyxiation was the cause of death, and you can bet your ass he'll be called as a witness at the trial and will cement a conviction.

It’s not unusual for a rent-a-medical examiner to arrive at the conclusion their client wants them to. Put him on the stand. His demotion and dismissal from the only official medical examiner jobs he ever held (in the 70s) for sloppy work and evidence handling will go to the stand with him. Along with his use of assistants with zero credentials to help him reach conclusions.

Depends-the main perpetrator might have said something prior about some sort of animus towards Floyd. There is evidence they knew each other. Hard to say.

Interesting. Barf worthy, but interesting.

Black people say they are tired of being treated like criminals then go out and loot, burn and vandalize.

I think there is a lot more stuff going on here that we don't know. the arresting officers treated this guy worse then some suspected cop killers.

I think that such nastiness is not confined to blacks-seems like a lot of middle class white youth are involved. It will be interesting to see who is arrested for the drive by killing of the FPS Officer in Oakland or the retired black police captain in St Louis. I think we know the color of the woman who tried to incinerate a police van and the officers inside of it.
The male attorney charged with driving a getaway vehicle appears to be black, the woman charged with throwing the bomb-I don't know what her ethnicity is

I know that in Ohio, a man the columbus police had listed as someone they wanted to question as to instigating violence is clearly white.

When you strip away the grandiose sounding calls for "social justice" or equality and all the other things many on the left demand, all you are left with is their desire to take money and wealth from others.

No one is justifying what the cop did. However, there are lots of you justifying the violence against all sorts of people by looters and rioters. Those who destroy businesses, shoot cops, kill shopkeepers are the worst. They are violent criminals but people like you pretend they really aren't that bad.
No, I do not condone the violence and spoke out against on Twitter. Guess what? Looters take advantage of mass protests like the civil rights and Vietnam protests. It's horrible that it is happening and I'm glad it's getting contained, but it's not new to riots at all.

But since we're talking about what kind of people the other is like, here's a question: why do you try to downplay how corrupt police culture is in this country?

The 2A isn't for compensating for lack of length to the gun one was born with. It also isn't for attacking the government to start an insurrection. It's for protecting us against the ****ING POLICE just in case they become militarized against the people.

Aren't you supposed to be the 2A storm trooper that serves as the last bastion between us and government tyranny? Yet here you are on the side of ... the police.

I don't follow twitter and I have no idea what you said on it

how did you manage to invoke your stupid attempt to equate firearms with penises in this discussion.

Black people say they are tired of being treated like criminals then go out and loot, burn and vandalize.

More than 80% of the people I actually saw looting and burning were white.

Fairly easy when you're someones debate opponent.

Damn aliens posing as white kids, trying to trick us into thinking they loot, too!

Niiiice try, aliens. hick.gif

Not really. In Fullerton, a half-dozen police beat, tazed, kicked and killed a homeless white man... all caught on film. They were acquitted, every damned one of them.

Considering historically the civil unrest following an acquittal usually eclipsed that of the incident, I went with the all-in max choice. Let's just hope an acquittal doesn't occur. And if it does, let's hope I'm wrong.

In sincerely hope he is not acquitted. I mean, I want justice properly handled and carried out and all that but I'd be tempted to be out in the streets if this happens. I will never riot or burn anything but I would have to be out there to show solidarity with everyone, and I've literally never gone to any kind of rally or anything in my life.

True.

We should never underestimate the 'back the blue!' types, who would defend cops if they ate live babies in the town square.

why do so many leftwing gun banners fixate over penises?

BTW I guess you haven't quite been able to figure out that the riots and the failures of many police departments to protect people and businesses is a rather damning blow against the anti gun movement
