Will Corona go away sooner or later?

Humanity doesn't have much herd immunity yet. Once we get a vaccine, we'll have herd immunity and COVID19 will go away.

Or if we don't develop a vaccine, enough of us will have to get sick and recover until we have herd immunity.

One way or another, it's going to go away.

Will Corona go away sooner or later?

Imagine a red wave coming ashore. It first crashes on the edge of the sand with great force and as it spreads up the sand it gets smaller and smaller until it's gone.

That's Covid-19. It came ashore from Europe strong, virulent and with a resounding crash. New York took a hit unlike any other state and suffered great losses. Over the next two months it spread but was weaker, like the wave on a sandy shore. Eventually it will become a lot less threatening and deadly. In November there will be a resurgence of this virus and it's anyone's guess as to whether it will be as strong or not. It's going to ebb and flow until a vaccine is developed in a year or so.

Why in November?

Why in November?

Typically, November is the month when any seasonal flu occurs in greater numbers of infection. Researchers are only guessing right now of course, but they're using their data from past coronas such as H1N1 and SARS as a guide. In the temperate zones of the world, other respiratory pathogens, and even other coronaviruses, lose their power as temperatures and humidity rise. But for the coronavirus fueling this pandemic, this is only a hope. The research showing whether virologists call “seasonality” is early.

I see!
Yes, sounds logical.

2 x sooner - and 3 x later

Now a simular question: Will Trump go away sooner or later?

While we lack a vaccine,
Why wouldn't it just stick around like the cold, the flu, chicken pox, herpes, rabies or the other myriad diseases we live with?

What will make covid-19 "go away"?
