It's not possible to even attempt to quantify that right now. The virus is still active and the economic damage is not over yet.

Everyone chooses poor over dead.

Just ruminating about this in my mind, considering the age of both me and my spouse, I will have to answer 'V' since we with both DIE if we get it. So yeah, that's much worse than sticking around the house, gardening in the yard, grilling some burgers and watching TV in the evening. Much better than death I'd say.

(why is this even a thread?)

Yes i get what you are saying but i think some people might need to get the money flowin or soon maybe they won't have have a house to stick around in or a yard to garden. Obviously life and good health is more important than money, but when this is over it can be a cause of concern to maybe lose your property because you don't have any money.

We will see what happens with the reopening, disregard for.social.distancing and our memorial day weekend celebrations.

A month should tell the tale

Until then i am laying low

Well this is what happens when there is no social support.

A result of the lockdowns is that many businesses are in major catch up mode right now. They are trying to capture as much business as they can while they can. The fear of future lockdowns is a real thing. This is creating a dangerous environment because in order to maximize profits they need maximum numbers of customers. We see all of the bars and pool parties packed with people. From my point of view this is scary behaviour by a bunch of idiots. From the business point of view this is much needed revenue. They have been pushed to the point of desperation and aren't concerned with things like mask wearing or social distancing that will push away customers and revenue.

There should have been a more light handed way to deal with this. People in the US haven't trusted the government for many years. The strict lockdowns have created an even bigger gap in trust. When you combine mental health issues, lack of preventative healthcare and now massive amounts of people not respecting the new social rules we may see more deaths than we otherwise would have.

Well, maybe I just want an answer based on what is currently going on...not asking anyone to look into a crystal ball

I haven't seen one person flagrantly violated social distancing rule

And a business is just as likely to lose customer over lack of masks as it is over having masks

So yeah, that's much worse than sticking around the house, gardening in the yard, grilling some burgers and watching TV in the evening. Much better than death I'd say.

Why would u want everyone to bunker down and lose job income just bc you are risk?

Smart people would make the sacrifice for their own well-being and that of their families. Stupid people are too selfish to make that sacrifice.

Yeh, you'd think that would go without saying....but again we are in strange times...when there always seem to be "either/or" choices presented to us by the dishonest Ms media ..the

Because there are many that think money is more important than their families lives...

The problem is compounded because there always seem to be "either/or" choices presented to us by the dishonest Alt Rightmedia

We are an endangered species.
