Warren or Abrams. I think Americans are getting fed up with the tough on crime crowd.

Uncle Bernie

Whether we like it or not, there's going to be a double standard for Biden's pick. Because it'll be a woman and being 2nd in line to a 78 year old President, "ready to lead" will be the #1 criteria. If people feel the candidate is inexperienced, it might hurt Biden in the Electoral College.

On that list, Warren and Klobuchar meet the “ready to lead” criteria without breaking a sweat. Harris would do reasonably well, and I really just can’t comment on the others for now.

Cortez Masto - Attorney General for Nevada for 2-terms, U.S Senator for the last 3.5 years.

Kamala Harris - Same as Cortez Masto, only for California.

Tammy Duckworth - U.S Senator for the last 3.5 years, 2-term congresswoman, worked for the Illinois and Federal Veteran Affairs offices.

Amy Klobuchar - 3-term U.S Senator from Minnesota

Gretchen Whitmer - Minority Leader in the Michigan state senate, been governor of Michigan since 2019.

Elizabeth Warren - 2-term U.S Senator from Mass, and served as an advisor for President Obama

The most experienced would be Cortez Masto, Duckworth, Harris, Klobuchar and Warren.

Whitmer might get criticized for only being a governor of a year and a half. She previously served in the Michigan state house for about 14 years. Started out in the house, and then moved into the senate in 2011.

My Senator, Kristen Gillibrand, only 53 years old, has been at her senate post since Hilary Clinton joined Obama's White House, but the fact she was a major dud in the 2019 presidential campaign, I doubt Biden would put her as finalist finalist.

what someone does in the privacy of their bedroom isn't anyone's business...do you have evidence that she paid this man with campaign funds the way Trump paid the porn star?

You must not be aware that Willie Brown launched his lover's political career.

You're going to have to try much harder. Trump has done/said something minimally stupid everyday since he's been inaugurated. Let's start with a President who spends most of his mornings Tweeting rants in the most unpresidential way. Raging, whining, and complaining in a manner that would embarrass a grade school kid. This is the person that you think is being so vilified.

And again with Hillary... your perception of her is mostly not accurate, I venture to guess.

Rather than guess, why don't you read up on Whitewater and etc.? Wiki can provide you with an alphabetized list. Pro-tip: If you Google, type in "Hillary Clinton" rather than "Donald Trump."

Trump screws a porn queen without protection while actively married to his wife and then lies about it to help him get elected. Are you actually comparing the two?

One of Trumps many, many transgressions. You have 0 wiggle room on this one.

I don't need to wiggle. I'm definitely not comparing; in fact, there is no comparison. What I am doing is talking about Kamala Harris and one reason (not the main one) I would never vote for her.

You and others keep trying to drag Trump into what I'm saying about Harris. There are hundreds of threads on how terrible Trump is, but this thread is about Biden's potential running mates. None of the options will be Trump.

Of all of those, everybody but Whitmer has suitable experience.

Last time I asked who should, it was a tie between Harris and Klobuchar. Lets see if the March results match the late May and June results.

Here are your choices:

Catherine Cortez Masto
Tammy Duckworth
Kamala Harris
Amy Klobuchar
Elizabeth Warren

Stacey Abrams
Val Demings
Susan Rice
Gretchen Whitmer

I see 4 people voted for Warren. That's not happening. She is being vetted to appease Bernie supporters, after which she will be tossed aside like a banana peel.

doesn't matter. She did not give him hush money. She did not violate campaign finance laws and he wasn't sleeping with her while his wife was at home with their newborn. He was SEPERATED...meaning she and he were free to embark on a relationship and there was no hush money exchanged from a campaign fund.

The thread topic is Biden's potential running mates. I am talking about Kamala Harris, not Donald Trump. Why do you persist in trying to divert the discussion to Trump? He will not be Biden's running mate. What he has done/not done is not relevant to the current discussion. There is no comparison to be made.

Says the Trump supported who has lost every ounce of credibility. You think Trump is smart?

smarter than Harris and much much smarter than Biden. Biden is the biggest dullard that I have seen as prospective nominee, ever. (from a major party)

naaaaaaaaahhhhhhh. not at all other than actual video!

If if he did fondle that girl's breast (and obviously he didn't), Trump would still be leagues worse.

Surely, you aren't insinuating that the only way for a woman to make it is to sleep her way to the top.

Or that if "everybody" is doing something, it's okay.

Shaking my head. Have a little respect for your sisters, eh?

When an accomplished woman has a relationship with an accomplished male, that is not sleeping her way to the top. Nice slur.

He was married. Even though he was separated, he was married. That's the so-what. Choose your own term for those who offer sexual favors in exchange for political clout.

You are privy to the terms of their relationship?

Oh, I did publicly state that. In fact, when I joined DP in 2011, I stated emphatically that I would never vote for the most overweeningly, shamelessly ambitious and morally bankrupt politician of my lifetime. This doesn't mean that I voted for Trump. Either/or fallacy here.

That would mean you DID NOT vote for Trump.

Ya she's obviously not uncomfortable and moving away from this predator. I suppose if you liked Jeffrey Epstein you'll love Joe.

Trump-quality political discourse.

You people have nominated an old, white, crusty politics as usual candidate. Exactly what you didn't want!

Now you are making up for this mistake by forcing him to only pick a female. Given recent developments it will now have to be a black female.

How many of you are embarrassed right now? This whole process is disgusting. How are you supposed to get independents and dissatisfied Trump voters over to your side when you nominate this trash?

Seems like something Republicans would try to do. Completely ignore the well known and undisputed associations between Trump and, He's a terrific guy!, who likes younger girls, Epstein.

Then somehow try to make a connection between Joe and the same guy, then smear him for it. Can't imagine the outrage we'd be hearing if he was Joe's terrific buddy.
