I posted this question before the C-19 shutdown. It is worth revisiting now that we are digging out of the wreckage.

This election is a 100% referendum on Trump. Biden and what he does and doesn't stand don't matter.

I agree, it's all about Trump. The democratic candidate doesn't even matter.

While that may be true, I still wish they found someone better than Biden.

Biden was third on my list. Bloomburg, Klobuchar, Biden, Buttigieg, Trump.

This election is about several things. Trump, the economy, the revival of a vibrant economy, the made up Collusion Delusion that democrats tried to use to remove an elected President. In all of those a sensible person would go with the health of the country which would be a Trump economy and reject a lie told by the democrats to subvert the system of democracy and remove an elected President. Shame the democrats doen't see that.

The dementia matters more- and Joe has it in spades.

The left really is for health reform can be for a fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage. All we need is working majority in Congress. Vote blue not red!

There were many people better than Biden. Unfortunately most left wing voters are low information rubes that vote on name recognition. "Obama's VP!? Sign me up!"

I'm not sure if Trumpeteers should be making accusations of others being "low information rubes".

lol

Yes vote democrat and watch the economy crumble, and your rights be slowly and systematically taken from you. Why? Because the liberals running the democrat party believe they know what is best for you and your family and they have the right to enforce it upon you.

I'm not a Trumpster, but people such as yourself are literally incapable of having conversations without gaslighting and strawman arguments. There are several left wing candidates I would have voted for.

Trump is a better man with even better policies.

Yup. Biden has one duty: don’t die before January 20. As far as I’m concerned, after he’s sworn in he can continue to be President or he can immediately step down and hand the reins to the VP. His call.

I know how you feel. My favorite candidate made it all the way to the finish line but even then it was clear she was never going to cross it.

"They" are the Americans who consistently gave Biden better polling over all the other candidates. This isn't 2008, when America was willing to give a black man with the hilariously nontraditional name of Barack Hussein Obama a chance. 55% of Americans are terrified of a second Trump term...and rightfully so...and are making their decision based on that.

I mostly agree with your post (regarding Bloomberg), but Trump would not be on my list. I'd rather not have a President for 4 years and address the problems associated therewith. As I've said before, I wouldn't voluntarily let Trump babysit my pet turtle overnight, and absolutely nothing requiring an even greater degree of intellect, ability, or give-a-sh*t.

Himm..I think us deplorable voters look at what the Trump administration did for the economy and job employment and numerous trade deals...jobs coming back to American and will vote for more of the same. All the liberals/progressives/socialist have is a hatred for Trump....running that will be a losing effort.

Trump did a good job keep an improving economy he inherited going. There wasn't much to prop it up though, and Covid knocked it down. That was pretty much his only claim to fame though, he kept a good thing going until it all fell apart.

Pretty much it's all about Trump!

He has his core supporters. That support hasn't changed since the election. The deplorables are.behind.him no matter what.

Turnout.is what will win this for.the democrats. The people who dislike trump have got.to get.out and vote. Republicans will do all they can to suppress the vote. Even If Biden is not your man you still have.to get out and vote against.trump!

If it is all about just voting against Trump your chances are getting slimmer and slimmer. Poll finds Trump ahead of Biden in 15 battleground states..

That is an alt-right talking point. "I would vote for the Democratic candidate, just not the one you nominated." Wouldn't have mattered which candidate it was, that line was going to be the same.

This line of reasoning cracks me up. Even if Biden had dementia, that is far less of a threat to us all than the current POTUS that suffers from acute narcissistic personality disorder.

First Biden knows more about government and the world than Trump will ever know; he would run a traditional decision-making process surrounding himself with the best and brightest in every discipline, listening to their advice; and filtering all options through what is best for the country; then acting with deliberation. Trump, in contrast, is exceedingly ignorant about government and world; surrounds himself with 'yes' man; makes decisions on impulse; after filtering options though what is best for Trump; and then fires all that disagree.

In all cases, a mentally impaired Biden is better than the mentally impaired Trump that we do have. Moreover, Biden is not running to be president for eight years. If he could not do the job, he would far more likely acknowledge it (has he does not suffer from acute narcissistic personality disorder) and step aside.

Sorry, but other than being a bigger A-hole, a better champion for the 1%, or a bigger bigot, there are no Trump features that are preferable to Biden. Virtually any issue raised about Biden (as if it was really Biden on the ballot, rather than "Not Trump") can easily be reflected on Trump who would be guilty of the same 10X. Running the Trump campaign is going to be a thankless, fruitless job.
