Yesterday the Governor of Wisconsin's E.O. to postpone the State's Primary Election was overruled by a petition submitted by the State Legislature's majority, the Republican Party to block the E.O. in the State Supreme Court. This court, packed by conservatives by Walker, voted to allow the primary to go forward, putting the voters of Wisconsin at Risk.

The Governor Appealed this callous decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to the US Supreme Court, and they too - with a 5-4 vote - voted to put Wisconsin voters at risk.

Do you agree with this decison by the GOP, yes or no?

No, I believe that they are scumbag assholes.

The irony that SCOTUS did not seat and voted from home tells you everything that you need to know.

Why didn't your poll ask 'yes or no' instead of using 'moral or political'? Your poll seems very politically bias to me.

It's a good thing the election didn't change anything. Bernie was going to lose and he lost. If it were a close race, there would be a big out roar. But it wasn't close.

As for the rest, it will get settled in the courts.

This thread is a joke.

Everyone knows Trump is fighting to keep the nation from being destroyed by liberals and democrats.

Trump saved our nation from the globalists and socialists in 2016. Remember, he didn't have to run for president.

A bit misleading .. The Governor is not authorized to change an election date and the Supreme Court confirmed this.

Will you agree if (when?) Trump decides to postpone an election or would that be a dangerous power to give the top executive?

Why no "legal, why" poll option? Courts do (or at least should) not rule on a moral or political basis - they rule on legal matters.

"Do you believe the Republican Party puts you and your family first?"

This is some kind of sick joke, right?

The Governor has been saying all along that he didn't want to postpone the election. His last minute efforts were an "i tried" attempt to appease part of his base. He told them multiple times that it would never work.

It was neither a moral nor political decision. It was a legal decision. There is no legal authority for the WI governor to unilaterally cancel the primary.

I see, and IMO what was done was amoral (amoral: lacking a moral sense; unconcerned with the rightness or wrongness of something); and that describes the set within the Republican Party I've coined the "Callous Conservatives". Very few people, and that includes most Democrats, many independents and a large number of "RINO's" disagree with what you've posted.

A bit misleading .. The Governor is not authorized to change an election date and the Supreme Court confirmed this.

Five conservatives voted to allow the vote to go forward, four members did not. As noted above, they voted from their home, and the five forced Wisconsin Voters to make a choice: put themselves and their families at risk and to violate the State's order to isolate themselves and stand in lines for hours; or to not vote.

An effort by the R's to suppress the vote, one more example of an amoral political machination by the GOP.

No, for both reasons.
Hence could not vote.

I guess the part where they actively tried to kill voters would lead me to suggest they're not all that great for families.

Don't forget the unborn. They're part of family, and protecting them is a moral decision. Democrats never met a fetus they liked if the mother didn't like it. They're political and immoral.

That's a loaded question: Loaded Questions: What They Are and How to Respond to Them – Effectiviology

Nationwide, with few exceptions, people are keeping safe by remaining in their homes, professional sports have changed their schedules, most churches are holding services on TV or the Internet and schools are closed all about the country. We have seven months before the General Election, and Moscow Mitch and trump are not supporting voting by mail, even when the medical professionals are warning the fall may bring new infections.

The important race was for a a state Supreme Court so gops could maintain their 5-4 advantage, so they could continue purging hundreds of thousands of Democratic voters, so they could continue some of the worst gerrymandered maps in the Nation.

Off topic, trolling and flaming. Go away.

It’s a preview of just how far the gop will go to keep power in November. No mail-in ballots. No paper trails to check electronic voting machines made by gop firms they know how to hack.

Scare city voters into not voting. Cause multi-hour waits to vote in blue areas of swing states run by gop governors, state legislatures, and supreme courts.

I know this is sometimes hard, but....

just because we think something is the right decision, does not make it the legally correct one.

The title of your thread is "Do you believe the Republican Party puts you and your family first?" Then you did a bait and switch with your poll question. I chose to address your thread title. Yeah, I think the Republican party puts my family first--morally--even the unborn members, past and future.

The gop stops caring about the unborn when they’re born. The gop continues to vastly underfund pre-natal care for those in need.
