12 million+ illegal immigrants. What happens?

What's going to happen to the 12+ million illegal immigrants who work in America.


Some of them work in factories, and I'm sure they will have jobs once they can go back to work.

The ones who work in agriculture will have jobs waiting for them once the crisis is over, and many work in agriculture.

But the ones who work in hospitality, cooks, maids, etc. Many will be out of a job.

Should we do anything to help them?

Yes, we should help them...Emigrate back to their home countries if they are here illegally.

The question is, what is wrong with your viewpoint, since we are talking about people who have both come into this country and have remained here illegally.

If someone broke into your home, and was arrested for the crime, would you also ask "what's wrong with you people" for arresting and processing them?

There are over 3 billion people on planet Earth. Just how many do you think we (including YOU) can afford to absorb before we neither have the resources to take care of them, nor remain a functioning united nation?
 
Since they are not citizens or LPRs, they are not eligible for the $1200 per worker from the stimulus. Most work under the table and don't have a SSN to file taxes in any case.

But if they catch the Chinese Flu, then we have to treat them to make sure they don't spread it. Viruses don't check your legal status.

That's a good point. They have to be included in our anti-Virus programs.

Thing is, I bet illegal immigrants are the most likely group to break self quarantine and other anti virus methods.
 
I don't have answers to these types of questions. I'm glad I don't have to make decisions like these. I would have made a horrible judge.

Let better more compassionate minds than mine make the best decisions for the good of all. I will go along if what they propose makes sense.

The President was able to "temporarily" get it under control. I'm sure the Coronavirus has slowed things down as well. The Wall will make it a permanent stop to the crisis at the border while allowing to divert our resources to other matters.
 
There was a risk to entering this country illegally and now things have gone bad. It's kinda like getting on a cruise ship during the outbreak.
 
I don't expect us to do anything to help them.


On that note, our borders are now closed and so are theirs. So, perhaps catching and detaining illegals, should be on hold for a bit. That money should probably be diverted into helping stop COVID-19.

We're in the USA. It is now to be referred to as the tRUMP flu. Since it spread ravishly using his tactic of ignoring the issue.

One of your chooses was to go back to their countries, that is about to be a non-option, only select trade will be crossing the border in the Very near future. Besides they are still better off staying here due to medical support. Help them, hmmm, maybe, but not with cash, food yes

It is who they are, haven't you realized that yet. They speak of being good Christians and Conservatives yet them seem to not follow those values, it is a Lie that many of them have convinced themselves is true. I only have pity for them, but it is not my place to judge them.
