Tick tock, tick tock . . . Is anyone ready to answer yet?

Tick tock, tick tock . . . Is anyone ready to answer yet?

You've gotten 42 answers out of 700 posts.

I think you've about covered the 42 people willing to say they like Trump and why...as well as a vast sample of the "I hate Trump, and can't understand why anyone would like him" membership deflections and other fallacious responses.

IMO it's about as good as you are going to get with the current Forum participation.

There is no contradiction. I told you to prove something for a reason. The burden of proof is on the claimant. The entire time it has been about proof. Do you have a reading comprehension problem?
You did not. You asked for opinions. You received opinions.

If you want proof that Trump is doing a good job, I suggest that you ask that question.

I am done viewing your hidden posts Jay. You can't post anything intelligent here, just like in all of the abortion threads.

The Barack Obama birther lie: During his first campaign for President, Obama publicly released his birth certificate to prove he is a Honolulu native. But Republicans spent all eight years spreading the stupid myth that Barack is from Kenya. Doanld Trump was asked if he believed it during a debate against Hillary Clinton. He did believe that and talked as much about that as anything else.

Another Republican lie Trump told during a debate was Clinton supports abortion up to the last day. Republicans have a bad habit of making this assumption about Democrats who already made it clear in the past they support the "viability" deadlilne (usually thought to be ~24 weeks), including Clinton herself.

The birther crap is BS. I agree with you there. It comes down to the amount of time his mother lived in Hawaii, and the age she was at the time, etc. So yeah it's BS, but it isn't an official "republican" position.
HRC supports the RHA, which allows abortion past 24 weeks if it effects the "health of the mother". That would include mental health issues like depression, or whatever loophole they want to use. Although I am personally against abortion, I agree with the democrat party on this part of their platform; "The party strongly opposes any efforts or legislation that might undermine this right, stating, “abortion is an intensely personal decision between a woman, her family, her doctor, and her clergy; there is no place for politicians or government to get in the way.” We part ways when my taxes are used to perform one however.

For argument sake, even if both were lies, do you think that it's a reason not to vote for your candidate? I mean, even if the democrat candidate did the same thing, but their overall policies aligned with yours?

So what? Do you deny the reports about Trump sexually assaulting women by grabbing their private parts and bragging he can do that? Yes or no.

News flash, where I came from that is called dating. The only guys I know who haven't grabbed some private women parts are gay.

Barack was born in Hawaii. Ebnough said. Why does it matter when his father moved to the United States?

I can't remember any Democrats saying Obama

What is the RHA?

Not all Democrats support requiring the government to pay for the abortion itself. I am fine with that position. But in case you have not seen my posts in the abortion forum I refuse to accept forcing uninsured women to pay for obstetrics appointments out of pocket.

It is not just the fact Trump lies, but how - which sometimes is even worse than the lie itself - and his motive that make me wonder why people like him. Why is it that people like a man who says he can grab women by their private parts and shoot someone dead in New York City? A man who says all Mexican drug cartels need to be removed from the Earth?

RHA is the "Reproductive Health Act".

My point was, I don't like him. He's a pompous ass. The crude things he say's isn't why I will vote for him. (I didn't vote last time) I vote on the issues. That's the context I was asking you about. It is a hypothesis. Hypothetically, if Biden get's the nomination, and his policies supported the type of issues you care about, but he acted and said the crude things Trump says, and Trump didn't, would you vote for Trump? To put it simpler, do you vote for the issues, or likability?

I make a huge deal about resumes when deciding who to vote for in Democratic primaries. Joe Biden was by far the best in that department. You can't get better than a longtime Senator (1973-2009) who immediateluy followed that job with 8 years as the VP (2009 to 2017) and spent the next three years working as a private lawyer. Meanwhile our current president went straight from business to the White House and obviously never took a government class.

I do not agree with Biden on all of his policies. In fact I would have voted for Sanders if only policies mattered. (Elizabeth Warren had dropped out before Election Day in my state.) So I am willing to accept differences on policies for a person who does not act like an idiot the way Donald Trump does.

This is a literal and isolated question. If all you care about is opposing the Democratic Party and supporting whoever the Republican nominee would have been, this thread is not for you. That is not liking Trump himself, just liking what he is not. I want to know why people who like Trump himself, based only on what he says and does, not any lies the conservative media tells.

I like some of the things he has done, while disliking how he says things. For example I think it was time people cared more about blue collar workers in America, than about saving a buck on another shirt they probably don't need. I like the fact that he pulled out of the Paris agreement which does not stop America from using more renewables but does not ask us to pay for others to do so. I like the fact that he confronted our European allies to pony up more for their defense. I disliked what he said about POWs of the Vietnam war.

I also liked Bill Clinton as our president. Although how he treated Monica was despicable. So I separated his lack of personal morals from his ability to steer our nation.

At the end of the day we get two viable options when we vote for president. So oftentimes we pick through the trash and pick the best of a bad lot.

Donald Trump is not a viable option. Constitutionally, he can be impeached again . . . and the Senate will most likely turn blue. I read about this during the impeachment process.

What was wrong with the Paris Accord?

If Trump truly cares about blue collar workers, why does he insult them with racist tweets and derogatory nicknames? They are seeing the opposite of compassion from the man who should be helping them.

Fourteen pages and I am still waiting for people who are educated about Donald Trump to clearly explain why they like him specifically. That is why I added "Smart people hate Donald Trump" to my signature. If you don't like that line prove you are educated about Trump's past and present behavior - all of it that is ever reported, not just what conservative media state opinions about - and that they are all reasons to like him personally, not just for being Republican.

14 pages and many direct answers to your question, is what I think that you mean.

Face facts - The democrats have been trying to stop Trump and his policies since the early morning of the day after election day, 2016, when we all learned that Donald John Trump, a Great American, had been elected President of the United States. The stock market skyrocketed.

Because of Trump's "direct" governing style, many take his words out of context, making a statement say something else.

As far as answering your question as to why educated people [and others] like him, it comes down to common sense.

Apparently, POTUS is not supposed to have a sense of humor. Too bad because Trump does and displays it often in TV interviews, speeches and tweets. But of course the dems play dumb and take his words as gospel when it is obvious that Trump was joking.

Trump is a billionaire many times over and will often say so, but that does not turn off his base and other supporters. He is just being honest. Take Pelosi and her insider trading with the stock Visa in point. Trump does not need to commit a felony like insider trading the way that Nancy Pelosi did to increase his net worth. She of course explained it all away and was never prosecuted and allowed to keep the proceeds of the dirty deal. Had Trump made the same trade based on the same insider information that Pelosi did, the dems would have of course impeached him.

Trump is a true "regular American" able to relate to tens of millions of middle class people. I think that this is one of his strongest traits. Just look at the attendance at his awesome rallies for proof.

Trump is a man of his word. Look no farther than his campaign promises.

- Renegotiate NAFTA. . . DONE - replaced with USMCA

- Address Trade Deficit with China. . . DONE - and tariffs still in place reaping the US tens of billions in income ever since the tariffs were put in place. Every President since either Nixon or Ford had bitched about the unfair trade deficit with China, but no President did anything about it until Trump took office.

- Rebuild the plundered Military. . . DONE & IN-PROGRESS (continuing) -- A lesson should have been learned with the debacle that occurred in the desert outside of Iran in 1980 (??) when military helicopters collided resulting in death and destruction while attempting to rescue the hostages in Iran. The primary problems were sub-standard military equipment and lack of military preparedness. This is a constant theme every single time that a democrat becomes a POTUS -- military spending is cut substantially. Absolutely disgraceful.

Trump, however, obtained huge budget increases for the military so that they could update all and even created a new branch of the Military for outer space, which was long overdue.

- Establishment of a "White House Veterans Hotline" . . .DONE -- The Hotline "provides veterans a supplemental option to report issues if they are not being addressed through VA's normal customer service channels," although located in West Virginia and not physically located at the White House.

*** END OF PART 1 ***

*** BEGIN PART 2 - FINAL ***

- Lower the Corporate Tax Rate. . . DONE -- Trump lowered the business tax rate from 35% to 21%, and eliminated the corporate alternative minimum tax. Well done!

- Lower Personal Tax Rate. . . DONE -- individual income tax rates were cut; the standard deduction was doubled

- BUILD THE SOUTHERN BORDER WALL. . . IN PROGRESS -- With executive orders and some creative accounting, over 700 miles of the border wall between the US and Mexico has ben completed. Even though many democrats had voted for such a wall in the past, since it was Trump asking this time, the dems refused to go along. So, Trump took matters into his own hands, just like Obama did many times, and used the power of Executive Orders to get the border work back underway. And it continues to this day.

- Bring Back Manufacturing to the USA. . . IN PROGRESS -- Trump vowed to use all powers at his disposal to stop manufacturers fleeing the US in droves destined for foreign lands in order to take advantage of cheaper labor. Trump has gone so far as to threaten companies that if they closed US plants and opened up foreign plants in China or Mexico (or wherever) that he would place a tariff on the goods returning to the US for consumer resale or in the case of raw materials - place a tariff on the raw materials thereby making the imported product from a 3rd world country as expensive or more expensive than the cost of manufacturing it in the US.

- Reversal of Obama's Executive Order - Gun Control. . . DONE -- Obama's order made it mandatory for the Social Security Administration to release information about mentally ill recipients of Social Security benefits. This information would then be included in background checks, essentially prohibiting people with mental illnesses to buy guns.

. . . And much more that Trump has done since taking office, but the rest would take hours to list and I'm tired now.

Point being is that Trump has kept his word on the vast majority of his 2016 campaign promises -- much more than most other presidents have by this point in their administrations.

I hope by now that you get my point, per your order to do so! :0

Regards. . .

Stop lying Griff. Only tell me totally unbiased, proven, objective facts about everything Donald Trump said and did. I am right until proven wrong and always recognize proof when I see it.

Everything that I wrote was factual.

Your "proof recognition meter" must have been off the charts with the content of my post.

What are your rebuttals to some of my answers if you consider them false then?

John

Damn, pesky facts always seem to screw up a good witch hunt.

You nailed it with your statement that common sense is why we like him. That is why any group that would pick Biden or Sanders as their candidate would not qualify to like him.

Trump single handedly prevented Hillary from becoming our next president. Neither Mittens Romney or John McStain had the fire power to defeat the Dems. Go along to get along losers! He was just what the country needed to get us back on the right track.

Every one gets a 1200 check yahoo. I would prefer a respirator for Grandma.

I do like some of his policies.

If he's stop being such a insecure prick, he would be much better off.

USMCA
Don't forget to mention that the Democrats and their allies made it a much better deal than what was initially proposed by the Republicans.

I had not given you one yet, so you actually are asking me for a first one.

BTW I do not drive or ride a scooter.

Because nobody who claims to like Trump has been able to confirm what I stated about him, with every single supporter instead asking me questions, it should be . . . SMART PEOPLE HATE TRUMP.

I am so in total limbo and overwhelmed by all the bumper stick quotes you laid out, I just can't remember what your original point was. Can you repeat what you stated about him using fact instead of political based opinions.....??

Obviously your comment about 'smart people hate Trump' is your best and :2dance: bumper sticker, I am sure not a lot of educated smart people will jump on the band wagon and go out and buy them. And I am not sure if the 60 million+ Trump voters would agree with you. You know the 'basket of deplorable' comment that basically cost Hillary the election. If I was you I wouldn't volunteer to be Joe Biden's campaign manager either using your 'smart people hate Trump' bumper sticker slogan.

And I am quite sure Hillary losing the election is your reason for starting this thread. If the hospitals weren't crowded with coronavirus patients I would suggest you seek help.

I told you to prove all of your claims. You still have not done it. If you were right and I was wrong about anything, you would have already proven those claims about everything.

Nothing you say is even remotely close to the truth unless all of it is proven beyond doubt. Got it?

Obviously the House and Senate found that Trump wasn't proven guilty beyond doubt.

Obviously the House and Senate found that Trump wasn't proven guilty beyond doubt.

The House of Representatives certainly did prove he was guilty beyond doubt. Not just thought it, but proved it. They had a lot of evidence and were fully aware of more documents Trump staffers were ordered not to turn over. Seventeen witness testimonies under oath occured.

So people like the fact that Donald Trump fights the Republican establishment in his own way. But unlike Bernie Sanders he embrsces the party. He always called himself a Republcan while running for President. He is totally conservative. So I don't believe it.

As I said, I know that you couldn’t grasp how it could be true.

You’re in Idaho so you probably fee like this isn’t all that real for you. It will be.

This is 6 days later. So when will the vast emergency hit us here in Idaho?

The House of Representatives certainly did prove he was guilty beyond doubt. Not just thought it, but proved it. They had a lot of evidence and were fully aware of more documents Trump staffers were ordered not to turn over. Seventeen witness testimonies under oath occured.

Had the house proved it, the Senate would have bought the line of poop shoved out by the Democrats. Recall who impeached. Not a single Republican.
