Depends on what the OP means about educated. They can educate a gorilla to speak with sign language.

LOL Using that logic, you can say any hearing person who signs fluently is educated, not just ASL interpreters and teachers.

I was referring to people who are educated voters - paying close attention to politics, fully aware of what Donald Trump says and does, instead of people who just always vote Republican no matter who it is.

This is a literal and isolated question. If all you care about is opposing the Democratic Party and supporting whoever the Republican nominee would have been, this thread is not for you. That is not liking Trump himself, just liking what he is not. I want to know why people who like Trump himself, based only on what he says and does, not any lies the conservative media tells.

I have four degrees I earned going to actual classes, on actual campuses in nationally accredited colleges. Two undergraduate; one in the hard sciences, and one in the social sciences. I also have a Masters in a Social Science, and a professional Doctorate.

I am also a graduate of several Army specialty training courses both as an Enlisted man and then as an Officer.

I am also NOT a Republican, although I was registered once, as well as a registered Democrat, and even a registered member of the Libertarian Party. I have been an Independent now for over a decade.

I also know who Trump is, having lived in NYC off and on for about 1/4 of my life. So when I voted for him I was under no illusions about what kind of person he is.

I voted for him in 2016, hoping he would win but not expecting him to. This despite the fact that I kept pointing out to other Forum members who derided his chances how well he was doing in his local rallies around the nation.

I admit I don't like his self-aggrandizement, his willingness to snap back at any challenge, and my God his tweets can drive a person to the edge sometimes.

But all that pales to what I like about him.

I'll say this again, he is the Bull in the China Shop I've been hoping to hold the highest office for decades now. Someone who is a clear outsider, and not a puppet tied to strings of "commitments" with special interests like other established politicians.

I wanted someone to go in there and just shake things up, reveal how the system is corrupt regardless of which Party was in power. My oh my has he done that! We've seen the Bureaucrat's pull out all the stops to "get him." We've seen the "leakers" and "sneakers" come out of the woodwork to attack him. We've seen the MSM go whole hog to destroy him publicly. And we've seen the politicians go crazy trying to undermine him by any means necessary.

Yet he keeps bulling through, doing whatever he thinks he can to really try to keep his key promises. Despite all odds, he's been doing it.

That's why I still support him, bad traits notwithstanding.

two of the democratic party's biggest voting groups are teachers and lawyers. Teachers generally have masters degrees which means they are "more educated" than the average voter and almost all the teachers' unions support dems because they want more government spending. Now, saying teachers actually know more or are more intellectually nimble than others is a stretch but their strong support for the Dems skews the numbers.

same with attorneys. many attorneys support the dems-not just criminal defense attorneys and the plaintiffs' bar. The various governmental units employ thousands of attorneys, and many of them support the bigger spending democrats. Even some "conservative" civil defense attorneys support dems. Why? because the atmosphere dems create-and their opposition to loser pays laws or restrictions on malpractice awards, allow civil defense attorneys more work

Ah, so no need of literacy..

That was a whole lot of nonsense that was basically saying "I voted for him because he's Republican".

that is how someone who doesn't really want to believe there are good reasons to oppose the creeping crud of democratic collectivization would see things

that is how someone who doesn't really want to believe there are good reasons to oppose the creeping crud of democratic collectivization would see things

So my assessment was correct.

So the right track is hating immigrants, legal and illegal, demonizing Muslims, resentment of the media, and all the wonderful bigotry he preaches?

The Democratic Party now wants to pay for the medical care and every other want and need of over 7 billion people on earth. They literally invite every racist, xenophobic, terrorist, criminal, and ignorant impoverished person on earth to come to the United States for which they would FINALLY succeed in their goal of fully and permanently destroying the United States.

You are just hating what Trump is not. I asked people why they like what Trump is with a complete disregard for their feelings about the DNC.

And by the way none of your claims are true about the Democratic Party. It is fine to hate the DNC, you need to know what they really believe in.

Nah, the post above yours which you liked was hackery.

it actually did something that few others do-set forth reasons for a decision that was rationally made. I understand such an action is often foreign to the Trump haters

rationally made? Based on what? Manipulation and fear monger tactics the GOP and it's media has been using on their base for years?

Its us dumb assed voters that's going to get Trump re elected in November.

Huh? Literacy is a requirement to educate yourself.

You making a statement or telling us about Trump and how he has shown literacy and intelligence is not necessarily a part of the formula for being wealthy??

What I wrote is 100% fact:
1. The Democratic Party wants to decriminalize illegal immigrant and end all deportations. That means IN FACT anyone in the world can come here and stay here.
2. The Democratic Party wants to provide free medical care to everyone who comes to the USA.

Which of those do you claim is false?

If you're an "educated" trump supporter, then odds are that you support him exclusively because of the way that he would aggressively carry out deregulation. That's basically it.

What about Iran? He did a super job there. Also on climate. Hits the spot. And he is one fine team player. But deregulations certainly is very very important. We must pull the claws of the Feds. And Trump is willing to do it for our sakes.

Blacks are the least educated voting bloc in the US. Who do they vote for?

The whole most educated / least educated argument is nothing but political dribble for idiots. In fact, what is education? Who is more educated a scholar with a masters in fashion design or a master plumber who never attended college? One can get a job in any city in the US, the other most likely works as a waiter. In most cases education has little to do with intelligence it generally is predicated by opportunity.

I once worked for a man who had no respect for those who worked with their hands. He felt people in the plant were ignorant and uneducated. When problems arose he ignored them as a source of knowledge. I was assigned to replace him because he had a problem he could not solve. I solved it in a couple of months. When the board asked me how I reached my solution, I told them I talked to the people with the most knowledge of the problem, the people doing the work. I am not uneducated. I have an undergrad in finance and an MBA. However, I have never been so arrogant as to believe that it makes me more intelligent than the next guy.

your silly depiction of why people choose not to vote for the creeping crud of collectivism is rejected as biased garbage

Illegal aliens to make it correct. Legal are fine. Why stop with Muslims. Democrats demonize the Jews living in Israel. The media refuses to tell the honest truth. Bigotry you say? Such as?

I'd argue that you people vote exactly for a "creeping crud of collectivism", but obviously your own bias won't let you see it that way. It's why you people have shunned, literally, anyone who doesn't worship your current Republican God.
