...and given that the US has passed Italy in number of cases and very likely in deaths, what are your thoughts on how America is handling this?

Gee, the US has six times the population of Italy.

Things never happen fast enough, or the way they want it when certain people are living in a panicked state of mind.

All you can really do is carry on with your job, because certain people are going to tear you down regardless.

I believe the results of the poll do reflect how the American people are feeling. I do not think the Trump supporters have a clue how politically damaging this has been, they will in Nov.

When I take into account the decision-making process, the actions taken in the times they were taken and how it was communicated to the people and I compare Trump under those criteria against the governor of my state (Maryland) who is Hogan...Trump has failed miserably.

Hogan takes advice from actual scientists and doctors, has taken full advantage of the fact that Maryland has some of the best hospitals not only in the US but in the world, and he LISTENS to the advice to help him make hard decisions, there is no blame game only the interest of the well being of Maryland citizens, while he certainly did not want to shut down businesses...he knew it was the right thing to do to help flatten the curve and did it anyway. He is providing the rationale of his decisions and actions to the public, takes ownership of them and communicates it effectively to the public and gives clear orders to the state in its execution.

Trump does not do this. At all.

And just to be clear...for those who don't know, Hogan is a Republican in a very blue state. Yet he has been doing a great job handling this crisis that most Democrats who did not vote for him...like myself...give him credit and are glad we have him to work this crisis. To be honest, if Hogan were allowed by Maryland law to run again for governor, I think a lot of Democrats would give it serious thought to vote him in again based on his leadership in this crisis so far.
