He repeated over and over how "we all should stick together and not attack your political opponents to score cheap political points" which is a scream coming from trump - but then he right then started insulting his political opponents!

Anyway - my opinion - trump is possibly the worst thing that could happen to this nation during a crisis. We knew there would be a national crisis - now here we are - and just as expected - we're in deep ****.

1. Trump is a ****ing idiot. Seriously, the guy is an idiot, and anyone that thinks someone with the intellect Trump demonstrated during that press conference has any business being president, well they are as dumb as Trump is. I would put up the deed to my house that if you gave Trump the ACT tomorrow, he would not score more than a 15.

2. Trump spent the bulk of the conference trying to argue that they are doing a great job with containment - in his typical malignant solipsism, its all about him, and he doesn't care about anyone else in this country.

3. Like all narcissists, Trump lacks any concept of self awareness.

4. Dealing with a potential pandemic requires competence. So good luck... However, with Pence running things, thoughts and prayers are on the way.

We need a level playing field with China.
China can do it cheaper with cheap labor, but not more efficiently. I think the US can do it better.

I am as anti-trump as they come, but I agree with you on basically all counts.. Well on the fundamentals I think....

A) I Would not doubt it if he contradicted the CDC, but I do not think this is a outbreak that “matters” any more or as much as countless other diseases..it is new , which gives the media a justification to clickbait.. So him contridicting them may have been correct..

That said I doubt he contradicted them because he had done the research..


B) though the stock market is not in Crisis, Trump blaming it on the Democrat debate is so stupid, it deserves to be commented on..

Everyone knows and acknowledges it takes years for a presidents policies to bare fruit.. MAYBE the economy is actually to a president’s credit or blame sometime early in his seconded term lol...

With those numbers, even at 40% of the global population, there will be 60 million dead from complications. If it truly spreads that much, it will equal how many people die each year from all other causes. Though 80% of those who contract the disease will have light to no symptoms, that's still a high death rate. I don't think Trump can change this either way but if the Govt's and Media gets the message out that we'll skate through this without that big of a disruption, then maybe the markets will calm down.
