Was it Rasumussen? (and/or some other polls) have Trump getting African American vote by over 20%, some even say 34% (source: Fox News)

:)

Trump getting that kind of support form black voters would win for him. I don't think it happens though. Sometime between now and the election he will pander to his alt-right supporters.

huh?

alt right?

who do you consider to be in that category?

20% of black voters vote republican. It's about the same for gays and Latinos.

Most of these are business people or evangelicals.

that has never been the case, so maybe you are talking about right now?

6% - 8% of Blacks vote R in any given election

Trump apparently has way more than that

Blacks voting republican? If they do they have never watched or attended a trump rally.

Only those white working class folks are foolish enough to vote republican. They don't even realize what republican policies have done to them since reagan. They just eat up the hatred, bigotry and fear fed them by right wing media.

He could get all of the "black vote", but that's only 13% of the population. If 70% of the women vote against him and 50% of the men, he loses.

If Trump gets 10% of the black vote he wins.

i doubt that a white supremacist is going to get thirty percent of the black vote.

The comment about Trump pandering to the alt-right aside, I don't think Trump gets that amount of the black vote either. If he did, I'm not sure if that will undo losses with suburban women and such. I think how the Dem primaries wrap up will have a good deal in effecting the final outcome more. Do the Dems pull some more crap to disenfranchise their voters like they did in 2016? Remember, Trump didn't pull in more votes than past Republican candidates, the Dems just didn't get as much support.

I doubt your false claim of Trump being a white supremacist finds fertile ground outside of a small group of the deranged left. That aside, I don't see him pulling that much either. I do think there is a possibility of doing better than any recent Republican. Anything more than about 10% will be gains.

I'm not sure that he's a white supremacist in custom realities. I was only referring to the real one. As for ten percent or more, I'd hope not.

Rasumussen is notoriously unreliable. Conservatives like it because it's skewed to the right. Trump getting 30% of black voters is their current favorite wet dream.

That's his approval rating with blacks not how many blacks will vote for him! If Trump gets even 12% or more of the black vote he'll win
by almost landslide proportions. McCain got 4% in 2008, Mittens got 5% in 2012. Trump got 8% in 2016. 12 to 15% is a possibility &
would insure a Trump 2nd term!

He may not be a white supremacist himself, but they are part of his coalition. He knows where his bread is buttered.

Not really....white supremacists are fringers that hold no real numbers or power.

The election will probably come down to Pennsylvania if the dems play their cards right, but we will see. If they nominate anybody other than Bloomberg, it is game set match Trump.

Yeah, of the "tight three" from 2016, I see MI going Dem, WI likely staying R, and PA being a toss-up. I saw analysis claiming Bernie would alienate the FL Hispanic vote causing a Dem FL loss. That might be good analysis, at least in reference to the Cubano.

If Bernie gets the nomination, Trump may get 34% of the black vote.
African Americans are moderates. Bernie is too far left.

What's 10% of 12%? A really small number, and there's not enough black people in Wyoming and Montana to make the number decisive. Only white people get to be disproportionately represented.

Yeah if he got that many he'd probably win again. Big if. I reckon he gets less than 10% though so he can't depend on the black vote. His path to the presidency is through the same white counties as last time.
