Poll question is multiple choice.

Which group(s) of people in the USA have been treated badly, past and present?

1. Native American Indians
2. African Americans
3. Mexican Americans/Latinos
4. None of the above (please explain)

Why stop there? Mormons, Japanese, Jews, homosexuals, police officers.... Many groups of people have been treated badly in the past or present.

You can add to that list Chinese Americans in the past, and Gay and Lesbian Americans.

I agree with you both, but I chose to only include the groups which I felt were the top three to be treated the worst in the US. I mostly agree with Asians, Jewish people and homosexuals.

I’m sorry, **** poll is epic ****.

America has a long and distinguished history of treating just about anyone in minority statues poorly. From Native Americans that we eradicated right out of their lands with warfare and disease, to African Americans we literally participated in international human trafficking and slavery to build up the south’s “way of life” to the point of civil war, to just about anyone else Whitey mcWhitey could hire to cut the grass, paint the house, and clean the house.

This nation was purely built by taking someone and marginalizing them to the economic and social sub-status to the benefit of someone else.

The list is growing generation to generation, largely driven by “Christian Social Conservatives” who hallmark love for God but hatred for anyone else that looks different,

Add poor whites to the list.

what is the point of this thread?

that life isnt fair, and that at times in history, certain cultures were taken advantage of?

might want to add all the chinese that were taken and made to work on the railroad

mistakes were made....some well over a hundred years ago....ancient history

is everything completely fair now? nope...and probably wont be in my lifetime

there is nothing that can change that history....

all we can do is try to even the playing fields now....which has been happening for 50, 60 years

Why not Mormons?

Chinese Americans were America's last slaves, and were treated horribly until the post war era.

This is a tough call since the definition of "treating badly" could be as shallow as using improper terminology.

However, I'll go with treated badly for the present, since those groups have lower expectations and different rules to encourage those lower expectations (Indian reservations, condescending affirmative action, reduced language expectations)

Interesting how everyone who has responded to the poll so far has answered it correctly but the posts have been filled with whataboutism.

There are so many groups suggested by people here perhaps we should ask which group has benefitted the most from treating these groups so badly.

Don't forget Trump supporters.

What? In the history of the country?

what about:
Jews
Irish
Italians
Germans
Chinese
Japabese

A. Because it's a "duh" question
B. There's no "whataboutism" going on here. No one is saying that the groups mentioned weren't treated badly.

I chose the three top groups for the poll who I thought were treated the worst in America. I wondered if there were people who thought any of those groups were not treated as badly as the others. I guess I should have used the ten choice limit for the poll and added Mormons, Italians, policemen and Trump supporters. Guess my sh** poll takes a back seat to the 'are you woke' poll...oh, the shame. ;)

Well said, thanks.

Those three groups and, I might add, Asians have been treated badly in the past. Very badly.

Today those four groups have equal rights and sometimes are given preference over the shrinking Caucasian majority.

By the way, the University of Southern California has just announced that students from families that earn less than $80,000 a year will not have to pay tuition. The goal is to have more students of color.

When Caucasians become a small minority by the year 2100, will any of those four groups meet discrimination from the others? Only time will tell.

All of the above

And you left out the Irish, eastern europeans, chinese and many others.

Immigrants have always faced discrimination in America

Should have had an "all the above" option.

Tis a cruel world nay?

There were only three choice or none of the above, and it was multiple choice. I would have added all of the above if there were close to ten choices.
