The murder rate in Camden, NJ is around 30 per 100,000 residents. Now let's say you spent 2 hours there driving through. That would mean your odds of getting killed there would be around 2.1 million to 1 in the 2 hours you were there. Of course, that doesn't even take into account that most murders are between people that know each other in some way, thus your odds of being a victim for the short time you were there are actually much lower than that.

Your fear was a result of projection more than anything else. You were in an area that made you uncomfortable and that made you project that personal discomfort onto the residents there as though they had malice towards you.

In Poker we all no certain races, and colors of people play a certain way. Way back when people would post hands on forums and describe opponents as black or Asian or whatever because it gives context and default reads of a player. Now day's people don't dare mention this. It's sad but true.

Race is a human construct. It doesn't actually exist. There is greater genetic diversity between groups in Africa than there is genetic diversity between those same groups and White Europeans. The entire concept of race is nothing more than a human construct.

This is the most far left liberal nonsense ever. Stop trying to analyze and rationalize everything. I'm telling you the story as it happened. We met up with about 30 family members and friends that night and not one of them could believe we got out of there alive.

Are you up for a liberal of the month award or something? What you are saying is absolute nonsense and dangerous.

So you have 30 family members that share your racism.

You talk as though Camden is Syria or something. Camden had 22 murders last year. Virtually all of them were drug related. Your odds of being a victim while driving through there are literally millions to one. Now you might say "yeah but I see the news and...", well yes because in a given week, god knows how many people drive through there, but that doesn't change the fact that your actual odds of being killed while driving through there are literally millions to one.

Like most bigots, you are obviously a terrible judge of actual risk. Do you smoke, ever eat processed meats, are you overweight, ever look at your cell phone while driving? Any of those have an exponentially higher chance of significantly shortening your lifespan than your little trip through a minority neighborhood did.

Like most liberal bigots, everything is black and white to you. I didn't necessarily feel like we would be killed in Camden although certainly a possibility. We could have been mugged, robbed, beat up etc. What are the percentages of that happening smart guy? I have 30 family members who saw the situation as it was. The idea that you think all 30 people are racist show's your ignorance. It also exemplifies just how watered down the word "racist" is.

I would highly advise all of you reading this thread to ignore this uninformed internet tough guy. Do not go to Camden.

The odds of being a victim of a violent crime in Camden, NJ are 47 out of a 1000 in one year. Thus if you extrapolate that to your odds of being a victim while driving through, you are looking at around 384,000 to 1, give or take depending on how long it took you to drive through.

Yep, and I also learned a long time ago not to stick my hand in the fire because it's hot. If a community is dangerous and it's make up is of a certain ethnicity it only makes sense to avoid it. If that makes me a racist and not a realist, so be it.

“Wokeness”, which you shrieked about being “wrong headed”— as well as a weird comment about “slapping people around”-/ is designed to prevent people from utilizing racial slurs, amongst numerous other things.
