McConnell gets $50,000 from pharma after blocking bill to lower drug prices

Unbelievable that the leader of the Senate put campaign funding before the very lives of American Citizens!

Overall, we rate The American Independent Left biased based on story selection that always favors the left. We also rate them Mostly Factual in reporting, rather than High due to a lack of transparency with funding and ownership.

Noted no, but he will be anyway.

I hope that he's voted out, but I'm not counting on it.

Did you see the PUBLIC program in Idaho for state workers? The REPUBLICAN lawmakers send workers who qualify to Mexico for their meds. Only applies to certain conditions but for those that qualify they send them regularly to Mexico flight included and they still save thousands. Pretty much an absolute disgrace that they are forced to do this by big pharma and scumbag lobbyists.

Leaning left does not mitigate what McConnell has done, as explained in my post. He took money from Big Pharma and did not bring up a vote on a bill which would benefit very sick citizens who cannot afford medications keeping them healthy and potentially alive.

First of all, who KY voters elect to represent them is not (and should not be) up to me. I disagree with Senate (or House) leadership blocking bills from comiittee and/or floor debate/votes. That being said, there is a lot wrong with H.R. 3 not mentioned by your single (biased?) source link.

So your two sources are focused on the economic issue and not on the health and well being of our citizens. Sounds to me like Trumpism. But I digress, why not allow US Citizens to use their Rx to buy the same medicine from Canada or Mexico via UPS or USPS? The arguments presented by your links are also logical fallacies, since they are using a Slippery Slope Argument which is meant to strike fear in the public.

Federal government price setting (fixing?) is an economic issue. If pills "should" cost in the US what they do in other countries then why not housing, vehicles, tomatoes, corn, rice and gasoline?

Then maybe the Senate, up until recently recognized as one of the preeminent arenas of debate, should bring it up, debate it and offer an alternative or say we are not in favor of it.
