Missing Idaho Kids - Should Mother Be Arrested???

Should Lori Vallow Be Arrested?

There has to be a very good reason they aren't arresting them yet. If they do, they'll probably immediately lawyer up and they won't be able to get anything out of them. But if they keep them under 24/7 surveillance (GPS, phone calls, internet activity, etc.) OR have the help from family members to get more information out of them then they'll have what they need to find the kids (who, let's face it, are probably dead) and have enough evidence to get a conviction.

I'm starting to think the theory that they are using the strategy of not bringing them in cuz they'd lawyer up is accurate.

For now, with the cops harassing them, watching every move, they have no life...the chances are good they'll slip up or even more likely, one will turn on the other and cut a deal.

OTOH, since there are 3 other adults dead, it would be hard to make any deal that offered much beyond life in prison rather than the DP. (dont know about the state laws for DP, so many states involved here.)

That did surprised me. A million would probably have been sufficient but she is definitely a flight risk.

I would also think they would be keeping a close watch on her husband Chad.

I know love works in mysterious ways but remarrying two weeks after your first wife had a sudden death at age 49 kind of puts a small spotlight on you. Especially after he refused an autopsy of the first wife.

The sudden death of his 49 year old first wife and then remarrying in two weeks kind of puts up a red flag.

She can put her grass skirt away.

Lori Daybell's Hawaiian excursion just came to a screaming halt. Kauai police have arrested her and charged her with two felony counts of desertion and nonsupport of dependent children.

Way overdue.

Mom of 2 missing Idaho children arrested in Hawaii - ABC News

It's about time! I saw the Dateline report where the reporters caught up with her in Hawaii - they asked her a few redundant questions, then just let her walk free.

I wondered why the police didn't make more of an effort to arrest her earlier. She violated a court order and her kids are nowhere to be found. It reeks of pure criminal activity plain and simple.

She's also a nutty doomsdayer who practices cult-like religious rituals. Those people are among the lowest, darkest element of society. I'm glad they finally threw her in the slammer but like you said, it was way overdue.

I wonder if Lori breaks and claims Chad orchestrated everything.

Or, does Lori break and blame her dead brother for killing the kids and her prior husband?
Then finger Chad for killing the brother to protect Lori, and then his previous wife?

Will Lori try to use Chad as her ticket out of jail?

Or she immediately said she wanted a lawyer and she's saying nothing.

Chad got $430K in life insurance after his wife died.

Adam Herbets on Twitter has a lot of information.

At some time she's going to have to provide a defense. Hopefully in court.

Sure she can plead the fifth, but her defense team will still have to provide some form of reasonable doubt for the jury.

Unless of course she's the female version of Jeffery Epstein (sp?). Suddenly found dead in her cell.

Hopefully he made a catastrophic mistake by not having her cremated. A full autopsy could be his jail sentence.

reasonable doubt about what?

reasonable doubt about what?

That she didn't at least orchestrate the killing of her husband, brother, and most of all her children.
That she didn't actually kill her children.
That she had nothing to do with Chad's wife's "sudden death".

what evidence exists that she participated in any of those things?

what evidence exists that she participated in any of those things?

Hopefully the cops have it, or get it through confession.

There are currently three dead bodies.
Two very missing children.

She knows something. She knows a lot.
What she decides to say will be interesting.

Shes guilty of plenty of things. Hopefully as the charges build, she cracks, or more evidence is discovered.

what evidence exists that she participated in any of those things?

No one has access to that information unless they're part of the investigation.

When dependent minors are reported missing by family members and schools that is when the police becomes involved. She has lied to the police as to the whereabouts of the children.

This is similar to when a child is suspected of being abused at home by other family members and the school. CPS should be alerted and if necessary the police will come in.

Many here are feeling she shouldn't be arrested as all. But when children are involved the community needs to stand up for them.

It's her responsibility as their legal guardian to know and if not, to assist the police in the investigation...which she was avoiding.

She didnt even report them missing.

The high bail does not match the charges.

Unless they know a lot more than we're being told at this time.

She's also a suicide risk I'm sure. Based on her Cult beliefs.
So perhaps they're using that as a reason to make sure she doesn't get out on bail too easily.

Either way, it's a wonderful thing that she's finally been separated from her husband and sent to a jail cell.
Hopefully he's arrested soon too.

The documents state that she's a flight risk. They want to keep her so she won't run.
