Who won the popular vote in the 2016 Democratic primary?

Bernie was winning the popular vote in the Democratic party while Hillary racked up all of the delegates. When the delegate count started running right over Bernie, voters began voting for Hillary because it was apparent Bernie wasn't going to win the delegate count, even if he had more votes. The final vote total is very misleading. Hey, I'm saying this even though I don't like Bernie's socialistic policies. Hillary and the DNC had the fix in. The definition of Karma is when you cheat to win in the primaries and then lose in the general and then claim you lost due to the Russians.

You referenced 2016 as if it’s relevant to 2020. So you keep up. I can’t wait to see your sour posts when Bernie wins the nomination. :)

Nice attempt at a deflection away from this comment:

Older people are the future of the Democratic party.

What you failed to account for in that snarky comment was the fifth word in that sentence.

We're not talking about future demographics. We're talking about present demographics. IDGAF whether we get votes from old, young, middle. A vote is a vote. Regardless of our candidate--Biden, Sanders, Mayor Pete, Warren--we're going to need as many votes from as many demographics as possible. We cannot just get one demographic to try to carry the load--we'll get crushed in November if we do.

I think the Democratic party as well as some media channels are not exactly against Bernie I think they want a Moderate president like Budigid or Globachar .

I think they are afraid of big change .

Some say it's more taxes they have that figured to the penny , but nobody ever said how much taxpayer dollars are going to tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires for paying taxes or how much taxpayers taxes are going to research grants for private companies and what does the tax payer get back for these cheaper prescription drugs , cheaper products , higher wages more new products to choose from??
At least with a progressive you will see where your moneys going.:peace

I.e., Bernie Math.

And yet, all the DNC has managed to offer is a collection of **** with a D next to their names.

That you eagerly support?

Do you always call people you disagree with "steaming piles of ****"? Thanksgiving dinner must be real eventful at your house.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I must have been mistaken. I could have sworn that I read somewhere that he was running for the Democratic Nomination.

He is, but he is an independent and always has been. He is running as a dem in name only.

Nice attempt at a deflection away from this comment:

No deflection needed. Bernie has the strongest coalition of any Democratic candidate. It’s more diverse than Biden’s, the support is deeper and Bernie turns out voters who’d otherwise stay home. That’s why he’ll win.

We're not talking about future demographics. We're talking about present demographics.

Then I guess Biden is going to win the nomination, right?

Bernie would have beaten Trump in 2016.

Sanders has a high floor but a low ceiling. His more devoted followers will support him if he has a pulse, but there are others who wouldn't even vote for him in November. I'm blue no matter who but there is no way in hell I'm voting for him in the primary. :)

Nobody knows for sure. I do worry about what the more militant Sanders supporters (#notallberniesupporters ) will do at the convention if Sanders isn't crowned the nominee, however. Especially if we have a brokered convention. :(

No matter how many times you people repeat this, there is still no way to prove it. So it's your opinion and nothing more. :)

There are plenty of wack jobs to go around on both ends of the spectrum. The DNC's problem with Bernie is that they don't think he can win against Trump. The combination of Evangelicals plus right wing wack jobs is extremely daunting.
Too bad, you don't try to cheat someone out of the nomination and expect "party unity"

He is, but he is an independent and always has been. He is running as a dem in name only.

Because he couldn't win based on what he really is, either an "Independent" or a Democratic Socialist? Because while he runs a campaign claiming he only gets donations from the little people, he realizes that he can't ultimately win without the corrupt DNC's money?

DNC is scared ****less that Bernie could win the nomination, and be the first openly full-blown communist Democrat for President.

He didn't say steaming, but it would be more truthful.

We will see what happens won’t we? Meanwhile Trump is taking money from whom would you say?

You obviously didn't read the article I posted.

We know (for a fact) that Hillary lost against Trump. Clearly your way isn't working. Biden is worse than Hillary.

You can either acknowledge that or live in a state of perpetual denial.

Also, Bernie would have beaten Trump in 2016.

Lead by example. :)

Keep repeating an unprovable claim without acknowledging any of the evidence against it. Sooner or later that claim might become true!

Go ahead and refute me if you can. Lets go through Biden's strengths and weaknesses and contrast them with Hillary. Want to play? Lets play.

Hillary was weak and without the strength of the Democratic establishment, she wouldn't have survived the primary. Anyways, I hear Klobuchar has the Klomentum on her side.

So you're giving up trying to prove that Sanders would have been elected in 2016?

Another opinion.

You mean this time or just again?

DNC Had the Right to Rig Primaries Against Sanders

"In June 2016, a class action lawsuit was filed against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for violating the DNC Charter by rigging the Democratic presidential primaries for Hillary Clinton against Bernie Sanders. Even former Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid admitted in July 2016, “I knew—everybody knew—that this was not a fair deal.” He added that Debbie Wasserman Schultz should have resigned much sooner than she did. The lawsuit was filed to push the DNC to admit their wrongdoing and provide Bernie Sanders supporters, who supported him financially with millions of dollars in campaign contributions, with restitution for being cheated.

On August 25, 2017, Federal Judge William Zloch, dismissed the lawsuit after several months of litigation during which DNC attorneys argued that the DNC would be well within their rights to select their own candidate. "
