With all the new Les Parnas evidence out there now, should the Dems begin new impeachment hearings?

IMO, they won't but I think they should.

If the evidence warrants it, absolutely they should impeach. If someone or something stymies you while you're doing the right thing, you continue doing the right thing until you succeed. Impeach his ass straight into the election, if that's what it takes. Sooner or later, something will give.

If they have reasonable suspicion that there is new evidence that Trump committed a crime, yes they should investigate it.

Absolutely. I think Trump should be impeached for everything criminal he has done as President so that the Republican party can further show how yellow and how spineless they are.

Chompy,
Maybe they can enlist Robert Mueller to come in and re-investigate what they think Trump did three years ago. That would be what the Democrats need to get their false hopes up again.
It appears you have a real dose of TDS if you are advocating going through the impeachment process again knowing that this effort is a waste of time and taxpayer money. You already know the outcome and still you want to go through it again.
Why can't you wait for the election if you think so many people realize Trump is a terrible president and person?
What are you afraid of?

If I was afraid, I wouldn't advocate impeaching Trump. It's about having the courage to do the right thing.

So yeah - if he keeps pulling shenanigans like he has in the Ukraine, I say impeach him again. Like I said, sooner or later something will give and we can get past this mess.

So pancake,
The Republicans are yellow and spineless because they are defending the duly elected leader of this country from attacks that do not amount to an impeachable offense. Is that what you are suggesting? What is the purpose of this impeachment farce? He won't be convicted and TDS sufferers like you are going to have to wait until November to see if the weak-kneed Democrats can find enough voters to vote him out of office. What are you afraid of? Why can't you wait? Perhaps you already know the outcome give the weak field of candidates.

Exactly. You do the crime, you do the time.

The Republican party are defending an old racist landlord. I think impeachment proceedings are better use of time for the Congress and Senate considering that the Senate is refusing to pass any legislation that isn't about kicking puppies. Your "duly elected leader" can eat my ass, back to front.

Yeah, support for Democrats is on life support now.

With nine months to go before the election, you must be afraid because you know the Democrats won't go through the process of coming up with more articles of impeachment. And after they Senate acquits him this time, do you really believe the people will put up with more political farce? Obviously, a Trump-hater like you would enjoy seeing that regardless of the waste and embarrassment to the Democratic Party.

The offense was impeachable - he's impeached!

Removal is the problem, but that's only because of 3 (Republican) Senators - which can be fixed as was the House.

That will be up to the People. As it should be. Pelosi got a fair amount of traction with this impeachment, perhaps enough to have him removed by the electorate in November - hopefully.

Exactly. You do the crime, you do the time.

It's only a crime if he is convicted of a crime. Bill Clinton committed a crime and did not get punished. Nixon committed a crime and left before he was convicted. Comey gave Hillary a pass on a crime she committed (violating national security laws) and she got away with it.
You expect the Senate or the Supreme Court or any court to convict Trump of a crime so close to an election?
Get real and stop trying to convince people of your wishful thinking.

At least you are making sense by relying on the electoral process - as most people would like to see.
If you don't like Trump then VOTE HIM OUT!!![/B]

That's the American way - not the chicken-sh!t way the Democrats are handling it.

Yes - and that possibility will exist on 21 JAN 2021, if the electorate is willing.

You miss the points:

1] You've got to do what's right
2] It takes courage to do what Pelosi and the Dems are doing.

I think you need a new set of facts, and heretofore new conduct to justify the expansive investagory hours and resources taken in the House, the Senate, the executive and the judiciary. But given what we know about Trump, it won't be long until he tries something just as egregious.

No offense but I think there is something called doing the right thing at the WRONG time.

My with the economy doing reasonably well, and none of the democratic candidates all-stars in my and many opinions the election rests on trump. His ethics or lack thereof and lack of judgement. Democrats risk giving away this advantage, not to staunch democrats like yourself, but boomer Liberals that are now deemed independents.

They (we) are the key to any presidential election. Turn off this group with proceeding everyone will go nowhere is a loser IMHO.

Chomsky
I respect your idealism but you are on the wrong side of history.
Courage is not what Pelosi and Dems have. They are desperate to appear relevant because everything they have tried since Trump was elected has not yielded any fruit. You can say this is Pelosi's and Schiff's last gasp. Their final wad to be shot.
Perhaps they really would like Pence to be president and maybe even win the presidency in November.

I only hope they have some real evidence eventually. I guess voting for our leaders will become obsolete.

washnut,
I think you are saying that it is Trump's election to lose.
Your last sentence was too cryptic to understand.
So far Trump appears to have judged his base very well.

Why start with evidence now?

The house will not go any further because the campaign season will interfere. It's not like they were doing it out of any sort of moral or ethical high ground.

Of course removal is the problem. You need 20 Republican Senators to join 47 Democrats to convict Trump,

What are the chances of that happening?
What will three Republicans Senators do? Start a landslide?

No. Based on the assumption that you mean for the House to retry Trump for the same alleged action (perhaps using slightly different articles of impeachment) more than once. That would be akin to keep trying someone (for the same offense) until the jury (Senate) finally convicts - essentially calling anything short of 67 vote guilty verdict (removal) a mis-impeachment.
