Obama or Schiff - who is correct about Russia?

Very short video - no paywall - in both their own words publicly. Summary.

Obama to Romney (and world): The Cold War with Russia ended decades ago. Get over it. Move on.

Schiff to Senate (and world): If we do not engage the Russian military immediately in Ukraine, Russia is going to invade the United States and we will be fighting Russians door to door in urban combat across the United States - just like in a video game.

Two exactly opposite declaration. Obama says the Cold War with Russia is long over. Schiff says we must immediately ramp up the Cold War with Russia or Russia is going to militarily invade the United States.



Who do you say is correct?

I say Schiff is an incredibly dangerous nut case to be talking about war with Russia. The non-stop Democratic hyper McCarthyism - all started to divert from Hilary and Bill raking in tens of millions in Russian money for themselves - is exorbitantly dangerous as Russia has taken such talk very literally in the past.

If Russia "invades" the USA it won't be urban fighting. It will be 2,000 hydrogen bomb warheads hitting the USA in less than 30 minutes from launch. The war will be over within the hour - probably for every human on earth. Russia is the only country on earth that has more hydrogen bombs than we do - and we have thousands.

Obama obviously! Russia is no threat to the US. China is a threat but Schiff doesn't seem worried about them.

Schiff and the rest of the Democrats are gonna come out of this impeachment looking like garbage. This is like a much anticipated movie that ended up a complete flop. Schiff's lies will be revealed starting tomorrow. Notice that the doomsday clock moved up while Schiff spouted his fear mongering.

Schiff and all those who support him will burn in hell!

I don't have much use for Russia fearmongering myself, especially when it seems to deflect attention away from/crowd out recognition of the true threat that is China.

My opinion? None of this is about protecting what remains of Ukraine. If we wanted to do that, we'd only have to put a couple of token but American manned American bases on the border with Russia at key crossing points.

This is about Cold War profiteering - because that's what the Cold has been since the fall of the USSR.

Selling Ukraine good - not THE best - astronomically expensive military equipment that is astronomically expensive to maintain, becomes outdated fairly quickly and of course needs American defense contracting companies hired to maintain and train about them - meaning astronomical profits from impoverished Ukrainians to the American defense industry. That's what this is about. "The military industrial complex" Eisenhower wrote about.

If Russia wanted to conquer Ukraine militarily, it could do so in a week no matter how many dozen anti-air missiles and armored personnel carriers we sell Ukraine. This is NOT how Russia is breaking down Ukraine. Russia doesn't want all of Ukraine. It wanted Crimea (got it under Obama) for the land - and it wants Eastern Ukraine for the heavy industry. Doesn't care about Eastern Ukraine - that's just poverty territory.

Russia does not have the ability to invade western Europe, and they sure as well won’t nuke it.

If anything Schiff is shining a spotlight on the perpetual “war is good” crowd. Defense contractors and lobbyists make bank, we pay the taxes and send our sons and daughters out as bait. He is part of that swamp that wants US forces on call 24/7 to any ****hole in America that has “American interests” - The Hunter Biden type elites of the world making a fortune in foreign countries heavy with foreign aid.

If Joseph McCarthy was still alive the Democrats wouldn't even need a primary. They'd have their candidate.
