The Democratic Party claims this is over the imminent crisis of Trump being president. If he is not removed and removed fast, we will be in a nuclear WW3, that the United States will be the next Nazi country gunning down Latinos, climate change will be so bad that it can not be stopped from killing all Americans, everyone on earth, and nearly all life on earth, slavery will be re-instituted, laws will require women - especially raped young girls - to have babies whether they want to or not, and we all will have to swear loyalty to Trump, declaring him Jesus having returned.

The Republican Party AND the Democratic Party claim this is a true constitutional crisis. But for the Republicans, the crisis is that this a direct attack on the constitution of the United States, on the Bill Of Rights and upon our country as a democratic republic in a coup to overthrown the elected government. That if Trump is removed, our economy will collapse, the Democrats will give everything to China, Iran, N Korea and Russia, the unemployment will skyrocket, the sovereignty of the United States will be lost as a borderless country under the heel of the United Nations, taxes will go to 90%, the Bill of Rights eliminated, Christianity outlawed, and they will order that men have a constitutional right to force women and little girls to strip in front of them merely if the man says "I feel like a woman."

The one thing both political parties, all of the media, press and Internet, and almost everyone on this forum agrees upon is that this is a BIG DEAL. A REALLY REALLY BIG DEAL. Everything at stake.

So... did you watch it today? Are you going to record it so you see all of it, every day?

PS...
May I remind you of the many times I have posted that - love him or hate him - Donald John Trump is the world's greatest attention whore. Every day. Every night. All of the time. The topic of the hour is Donald Trump. And some of you think Trump doesn't like this trial? He is now the center of attention of most of the human race with this "trial." Get ready to hear the word "exonerated" a million times - at least over 100 times by still-president Donald John Trump.

On the bottom of page 1 in your local newspaper are 3 paragraphs, continued on page 5, where you can also read about the Democratic Party's primary campaigns.

It will end like both the other impeachments in US history. Why bother.

Yep you would crown Trump King if you could. Trump wasn't lying when he said he could shoot someone and his dumb ass supporters would still support him. Trump supporters are the dumbest in America.

I planned to watch all of it from beginning to end if witnesses were called. But Republicans repeatedly insisted on not having any witnesses or only allowing their favorite people to testify. Mitch McConnell had always wanted it to be quick and even negotiated the process with Donald Trump. This is not what I wanted to watch, so I have seen none of it yet. Let me know when the first-hand witnesses are allowed to show their indisputable proof in front of Justice John Roberts the President is guilty.

Not my fault your girl Nancy dropped the ball. Had she actually litigated the executive privilege issue instead of trying to drive the steamroller as fast as possible to save the Bidens, maybe they could have developed an actual case with actual factual evidence supporting it.

It is going to be fun to watch the Dems' case fall apart, but I'll only have time to check in here and there.

Well, the previous two were impeached by bipartisan votes, so there was not all this party line vote crap tarnishing the process. I am not ready to declare all Republicans will support their man at the end if both sides are given a fair trial with first-hand witnesses.

Either way still see no reason to watch it, certainly not 12 hour opening arguments each.

What's the point of watching a bad movie, especially when you've been spoiled on the ending?

Getting Don the Con to this point was the goal. Now the Republicans get to prove for all time their loyalty to the Don.

Dems went after Trump because he wasn't the establishment and it's sickening. So no, I will not be watching this partisan sham.

When it became apparent that the dems still had nothing, I sort of tuned out of the impeachment hearings. But when the senate trial actually starts, I'll keep my eyes on it until the time that their attempts fall apart again.

Nixon was never actually impeached.

Seeing as the democrats couldn't even prove that he did something worthy of being removed for in the first place. Your poor attempt at poisoning the well on this whole circus, is just that.

I will watch if Bolton , Mulvaney or Giuliani testify

If republicans just go through the motions before aquitting trump i will be disgusted but not surprised. Won't hurt them with me though. I would never vote for a republican for anything.

No drugs, no drunks and no trumpers

Where was this demand of yours for more witnesses when House democrats were running the show? You dont impeach then demand an investigation. Maybe if you started using your own head rather than simply repeating talking points you would understand things better.

Too busy to sit around watching every second. Besides it would like watching a movie you already know the ending.
America will decide in November.

Of course, I am not watching it.

As a nobody, I cannot stop this witch hunt.

But at least I can ignore it.

Since every human being lives in his/her mind, by not watching it, it does not exist.

Wasted enough life on this stupid congressional B.S. , Politicians are playing the public . just watched Schumer spewing his gob what a waste air!!

I'm still working toward the Guinness Book for watching Casablanca.

After taking in the opening arguments of today it looks to be better than expected. Trump's rotating on his axis after the floor show at Schiff's Place.

Major Mitch is pencil writing changes by the minute onto his proposed resolution of how to proceed.

When we get to the Marseillaise moment we'll know the plot has thickened.

If he is actually removed that would be icing on the cake and unexpected.

To be sure, politicians on both sides of the divide, no matter what they say about the impeachment, will probably benefit greatly from being able to stand in the limelight and perform for their respective bases.

I'm not bothering to watch because, as one wag put it, its a Seinfeld impeachment: "a farce in which nothing happened." And it probably won't be that funny, not unless the Democrats succeed in calling "Abu" to the stand and testify (wagging his index finger) that "Donald is a bad man...a very, very bad man". (To say nothing of how Trump must have abused the Soup Nazi).

What is the point? The House botched the investigation, and for want of prosecution, didn't bother to subpoena a half dozens witnesses. Their articles are sparse, the evidence incomplete. The didn't do justice in the HOUSE allowing for both parties to subpoena witnesses, now they scream they want the Senate to be just and call new witnesses.

And we all know the outcome.

So no, I'm not watching.

Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler lead the House impeachment managers. Each in his own way gives us the impeachment case in »

Just watching Schiff lie through his teeth, makes my skin crawl.
But the defense team for Trump is very good.
