If your least favorite Democratic candidate wins the Primary, what will you do in response?

1)Vote for that person happily.
2)Vote for that person begrudgingly.
3)Vote third party or write-in.
4)Vote for that person and campaign for him/her. "Campaigning" can mean whatever you want it to mean. It can mean donating to their campaign, volunteering for their campaign (phone banks, knocking on doors*, etc.), or even just speaking well of that candidate on Facebook or Debate Politics.
5)Stay home. If you choose this option, it is assumed that you will smugly declare that you had no part to play in Trump's re-election and you certainly can't be blamed if the wrong Democratic candidate won the Primary. So if Trump wins, reshapes the courts so they lean hard right for three generations, freezes elections and becomes President For Life until he appoints Donald Trump Jr. his heir successor, it's totally not your fault. After all, part of being in a democracy is the right not to vote, even if that choice results in the destruction of that democracy. But seriously, if you vote for this option, you totally suck and don't deserve to live in a democracy. For thousands of years humanity has lived under chieftains, monarchies, dictatorships, emperors, oligarchies, plutocracies and theocracies and 230 years into one of earth's first democracies, you choose to stay home and give up a right billions of people before you could have only dreamed of. Kill yourself.

Tulsi is my least favorite. I couldn't sincerely campaign for her but I'd happily vote for her against Trump.

I would hate for an establishment Dem like Biden, a billionaire like Bloomberg, or a snake like Tulsi but I would ultimately take them all over the the moron currently sitting in office.

I'll vote for literally any functioning adult over Trump. If it were zombie Ronald Reagan vs Trump I'd even vote for zombie Reagan. This isn't about partisanship, it's about jackassery and mental illness.

It would definitely be "grudgingly" with some of them

Bloomberg and Gabbard are tied for least favorite, and I'd campaign for both of them. I'm in California so that might seem like a waste of time, but Presidential elections are what get Democrats out to vote, and you have to consider all the smaller offices.

i'll vote against Tweety. however, if it's Bloomberg, i might just stay home and drink a coke classic, possibly with vodka.

A big part of it is of course attributable to _how_ that candidate wins.

For example, if we discover that there's been more collusion between the DNC and media outlets which benefited this thoretical nominee at the expense of others, then yeah, I think that changes my sentiment. If by all accounts the primary is clean and fair, I can't say I'll be enthused with the outcome, but I'd definitely be much more willing to go to bat for the nominee. Overall however, I'll be voting Dem, even if I'm not happy about it, with one possible caveat (see below).

Yeah, honestly, his repulsive supplication towards China makes me doubt whether I could vote for him. Anyone who legitimately and ardently thinks as Bloomberg clearly does per his PBS interview that the CPC rules by consent and Xi is not a dictator is probably compromised in some capacity and a legitimate security threat, and I don't want him in the White House, even by contrast to Trump; literal Manchurian candidate.

the last thing that Democrats need is an unlikable billionaire nanny. i doubt that they'll nominate him, but FFS. i find it disturbing that even with the risk of a Tweety second term, they still couldn't find another Obama type candidate.

FWIW, Bloomberg has Judge Judy's endorsement.

Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with this field, even if no one has the raw oratory skill or charisma of Obama (and I will say that beyond this, Obama wasn't a particularly impressive figure).

While I'm not enthused with the idea of unlikable billionaire nanny, I'm far, far more concerned with his obsequiously friendly attitude towards our greatest rival. Anyone who refuses to finger Xi as a dictator and the Chinese Communist Party as domineering its people via harshly enforced authoritarianism, particularly with a backdrop of ongoing Tibetan and Uighur genocide, is simply and IMO indisputably not worthy of the office, even if someone as insufferable as Trump is the alternative; utterly unacceptable.

i'm not a fan of China's communist dictatorship, but i doubt that any of the candidates will be able to do much about it. however, i do want to prevent a Tweety / Palpatine dynasty here.

I think there's an important difference and distinction between not being able to overturn the Chinese dictatorship (yes, I don't imagine anyone can or will, nor would I expect them to), and facilitating, aiding, abetting and enabling it. While to my knowledge Bloomberg hasn't said what his official policy stance towards China will be, everything else he has said to date about it has been at the very least alarming and implicit of an administration that will not stand up for American interests in the face of countervailing Chinese ones, which is deadly serious. Therefore, he is pretty much the only Democratic candidate I could see myself opposing in the face of a Trump alternative, at the very least until he affirms basic, fundamental truths about the nature of Xi and the CCP which he has thus far denied.

I know my poll specifically posits a hypothetical, but being purely practical, Bloomberg isn't coming anywhere near the nomination.

Taking people who need rides also.

Well, as stated, other than Bloomberg as nominee, my vote is most certainly going towards my party.

I think a lot of people feel that way too. Anyone but Trump

That's a really good one. Here's something I didn't think of until I volunteered: when talking to people, simply telling them where the polling station is increases the chances they'll vote. Just being able to visualize the location makes it more likely they'll go there.

At first, the idea of going door to door scared the crap out of me. I was afraid I was going to encounter hostile neighbors who'd sic their pit bull on political solicitors, or that I'd get bogged down in trying change people's minds. Nothing could be further from the truth. Almost everybody is super friendly, and the campaign specifically targets those already known to vote Democrat, but just need an extra nudge to get out and vote.

only the Chinese can effectively address their government. as for Bloomberg, i've posted here that i'm not sure that i could vote for him even if the impeached imbecile was the only other option.

I think you should.have added. Vote against trump.

All the democrats need to hit the polling places regardless of which democrat wins the primaries. If your candidate does not win the primary then just consider your vote against trump. No staying home or independent vote.

This country can't stand another 4 years.of.trump.

Why didn't you have an option of "vote for Trump", like happened many times in 2016?

The only reason I won't vote is I'm dead or physically incapable of getting to the voting place which is less than a mile from me.

I will cast my vote to defeat trump no matter the candidate. At this point I would vote for Happy the Clown if that was the democratic nominee.
