I say no way. Trump has already torn the country apart and I see not much left to tear.

Removing Trump will begin to heal the country. Lets get it done.
 
Agreed, Let's get going, the sooner the better. If the Repubs won't remove him, we'll remove him & them at the polls. Game on!

It's worse than that (for you); most Americans are bored to tears with the Dems antics, and aren't even paying attention. You have two choices here.

1. Don't impeach, & lose 2020.
2. Impeach and lose 2020 by a landslide. Think '84.

Most Americans are also bored to tears with Trump's antics as well. All the drama and chaos that surrounds him 24/7 is tiring.

We want to get back so some form of sanity and civility which you can't do with Trump in power.

I am starting to tune out from the impeachment myself. I think the people in DC are all full of themselves and are playing political games they think the rest of us care about. But the people have normal lives to lead with families and children and jobs. We want DC to clean up their swamp. Trump said he would but he created an even bigger one.

Dem's won't lose this time around. Trump and his GOP brothers and sisters in Congress are seeing to it by being cowards and by not sticking up for what is the right thing to do, which is to give the criminal the boot!

re your thread title I'd answer NO.

As for your comment, I wouldn't be surprised if the behavior of some does get worse as events that are yet to occur cause their expectations to collapse around them.
When that happens they will tend to overreact to their disappointment with more of the same behavior that caused their earlier losses.
That will make their subsequent actions even less appealing to more people as their motivations behind prior actions becomes even clearer.
So, in that way the Country could become more polarized regarding political positions but on the plus side their behavior could marginalize them further.

Ithink it is telling that so many Republicans are winning something based upon the TV ratings of the hearings. We know Trump judges success on TV ratings.
 
Republicans won't stop until they are utterly defeated. After which they should disband their party, the conservative movement should atone for ~50 years and/or accept their new status as the dunce cap of America. The reason Trump was able to take over the party is because there is no coherent conservative ideology whatsoever. Just a hodgepodge of terrible ideas. Hence why they can switch from neoconservative, libertarianism and Trumpism at the drop of a hat.

Must be why Trump is ahead in the swing states. Trump will be reelected and noone to blame, but yourselves.

One thing for sure is we will NOT let socialists take over our country. Look what happened in Europe tonight. It's not going to be good for socialists in the near future.
 
The country was already torn apart. Trump just brought a microphone. I am upset that it has turned my dad and uncles into paranoid conspiracy theorists, but maybe they just hid it before.

Impeachement may be tearing the country apart, but I don't think so. Instead, it's alienating the non-haters from the Democrats.

It’s not damaging the country. Impeachment is part of the Constitutional process of America. The Senate is acting within their power

That's why I believe we will have a violent civil war in this country in the next 40-50 years. I don't expect the creeping crud of collectivism to win that one.
