Numerous articles of impeachment without a crime have already been passed in the house over the years. Turley is wrong.

And the rest of your post is just blah blah. The case isn't non-existent. It's very substantial. It's so substantial that the president himself won't even hand over any documents nor witnesses because he knows he's been busted. Which, of course, is also impeachable conduct by a president.

That should literally tell you everything you need to know. Just answer that question.

If the next democrat president told congress that the white house and every office within the federal branch will not hand over any documents nor will they testify under any circumstances no matter what, even during an impeachment proceeding, would you not argue that in itself is impeachable? It's a mockery of our entire system.

The full extent is not known yet. Once everything is known he could well be.

High crimes and misdemeanors.

No President has been impeached without an underlying crime.

If Trump is the most corrupt president ever, as many Leftists claim... finding a crime worthy of impeachment should be really easy pickings.

Hate isn’t a good precedent for impeachment, but it seems that’s what leftists are hanging their hats upon.

It’s a sickening precedent, and destructive... but it is what the vile Left does... it destroys.

You’re either still doing the denial thing, or you’re behind he curve.

Trumpsters are still yelling ‘heresay” and “conjecture”..... knowing full well that the remedy for that is for the witnesses to testify. Which is the last thing the White House wants.

And the President won’t’ be indicted while in office, at least not by this Justice Department.

The process servers and the deputies will be waiting in line on Inauguration Day.

I thought with normal English, the answers in the poll to your question would be yes or no. If your poll was just making a statement instead of a question, putting the "is" after Trump, then true or false would be appropriate. But I considered who was posting this thread and went with True, but my real answer is Yes. :roll:
 
Jackson personally profited mightily from the forced relocation of Indians on the Trail of Tears. A few of the reconstruction presidents also cashed in on their office.

In modern times, probably Bill Clinton was the best example of a president who went to Washington a moderately successful small state ex-governor and left with $50 million in the bank and a fake foundation worth a billion or more.
 
I'm not sure if he's the most corrupt we've had, but he's top 5 for sure.

Actually, job creation right now is significantly below what it has been for the past few years. This has been true most of this year.

What improvements in infrastructure? Trump’s promised infrastructure plan has yet to even be proposed. And the current highway bill is sitting on McConnell’s desk.

The economic trends are consistant over the last decade (and predate Trump). Trump’s growth figures are no better than his predecessors.

Indeed, his claims that his tax bill would erase the deficit have turned out the opposite. We have the trillion dollar deficit to prove that.

What a corruptor! Indeed!

Now, do you want to discuss the two Russian gangsters that work for Trump’s personal attorney; the one who had lunch with them before trying to put them on a plane to blow dodge?

I am not aware of any evidence of that, nor was I able to find any. Which is not to say that Jackson wasn’t one for using his office for opportunity.

Ironically, the Trump machine tried to promote the idea of Trump as a latter day Andrew Jackson. They even staged an event at the Hermitage.



Indeed, the forced relocation of the Cherokee happened AFTER Jackson left office.

Asking a foreign government for anything of value to help with your coming election is a CRIME. It's a violation of FEC law. That's just the beginning.

Trump was the most formally investigated president of all time; at least 4 formal investigations into corruption inside and outside the box. Even with partisan politics and constant trial by leaking to the media, the Democrats could not find any serious offense worthy of impeachment. If they had found anything real the Democrats would have used it.

Trump is not a man who is as pure as the wind driven snow. He has baggage. However, once he took office he has been under the radar, since day one, making it very hard to do anything illegal or unethical, since his critics are watching and ready to pounce. There are many Obama and Clinton holdovers, everywhere, sabotaging and leaking information. Trump has had to be very careful and by the book, making it hard to be corrupt, even if he wanted to.

Obama had the opposite situation. He was coddled by the media with constant sunshine up his skirt. If anyone spoke out, even with facts and truth, they would be labeled a racist to shut them up. The result was Obama had much more freedom to make many bad judgments calls, that were defended, but which would have been impeachable, if they could have been attached to Trump.

If Trump has sold uranium to Putin and Russia and then Russian gave the Trump family foundation a $100M donation, Trump would be impeached for that. If Trump had used the IRS to limit tax exemption status for left wing political groups, he would be impeached on that. If Trump had illegally sold guns to the Mexican cartels, so they could misuse the gun and thereby create an excuse to restrict the 2nd Amendment; Fast and Furious, he would be impeached for that. If Trump was been caught spying on journalist and then on an opposition candidate; FISA warrant, this would be grounds for impeachment. This is why much of the false accusations against Trump; Russia, were projected by the Democrats, based their own crimes. Ukraine is really about Biden and Obama and not so much Trump; Democrat projection for self defense.

Currently the Democrats have nothing as tangible as the impeachable crimes of Obama, to make the impeachment of Trump a consensus. The dual standard of the left, confuses the issue. If we assume one standard, Obama was far more corrupt or corruptible by the swamp than was Trump. The irony is the Democrats, by being such effective spies, gossips, foot draggers and busy bodies, have cut Trump's rope so short, he is unable to hang himself, even if he wanted to.

The Democrats have out smarted themselves and is it funny to watch. They should have cut Trump more slack so he had more rope, so maybe they would have caught him with too much rope, like Obama. Maybe in the Trump's second term they will learn and be more cooperative; longer rope.

Grant wasn’t personally corrupt. Like Eisenhower, he headed the ticket because of his war record, not his political experience. His cabinet (and much of his congress) was heavily involved in the wholesale graft associated with the Transcontinental Railroad, and other land grant railroads.

The scandal finally broke during his Administration, and the shadow of the Credit Mobilier scandal tainted GOP candidates almost into the 20th century.

But Grant, himself was the front man, just as Warren Harding was the front man for the “Ohio Gang” and the RNC at the time.

Trump is up to his neck in it. He sets the low bar for corruption in his Administration.

That was a particularly wordy Trumpster rationalization!

The first paragraph is 100% false. Trump isn’t anywhere close to being the most investigated.

The GOP has been investigating or making stuff up about the Clintons for 25 years. Trump will be dead long before he even comes close to that record!

The Mueller investigation was famous for not leaking at all. The White House leaks like a sieve, as any organization fraught with office politics and an unstable and untrustworthy leader tends to.

Dispite all the noise in right wing media, there were no leaks from Adam Schiff’s committee either. All the news reporting prior to the hearings that right wing trash media falsely proclaimed as “leaks” were the prepared opening statements of the witnesses that were released to the press.

You could produce evidence to support your second claim, but you won’t.

Your third is the repetition of a cherished right wing talk radio myth. All the bobble heads nod to that one! Almost every single word of it is false.

But rather than go back and forth over what is essentially talk radio BS, how about you tell us about the swamp.

Right wingers love repeating this “swamp” meme of Trump’s. Funny, though, when I ask them to define “the swamp”, they always scamper away.

Oh, and the only reason the committees don’t have direct evidence and witnesses present at the crime, is because Trump is obstructing the investigations.

Even so, 12 witnesses said almost exactly the same thing.

Trump and his band of international men of mystery, did run an attempt at an extortion scheme against a country at war, the hostage being military aid, the quid pro quo being an announcement of an investigation.
