I am betting we will see a much tighter ship being run for these upcoming hearings. From what I understand that has already begun with the Dems putting the Reps on notice regarding trying to bring up irrelevant crap.

    We will see.

I don't think this is going to be another case where the Dems allow the Reps to act like a bunch of hyped up Trump Stupids like they did with the Mueller hearing.

It would be nice to think the Reps could be trusted to not act like a bunch of hyped up Trump Stupids, which is what they are, but we sane and rational and politically astute folks, like me, know that is way too much to ask.

Wonder if Trump Stupid Matt Gaetz is going to get a bunch of fellow Trump Stupids to come crash the public hearings complaining that they should be held in private?

Would not surprise me, especially if way too much damning testimony against Stupid Trump starts coming out.

Impeaching Trump sets up a trial in the senate which is run by Republicans and would require almost 50% Republican support to remove Trump from office. The GOP has 100% control over Trumps removal. In the almost impossibly unlikely chance that Trump is removed from office then the President will be Mike Pence. The new vice president will be appointed by Pence. The entire executive branch will remain under GOP control.

Is it insane to compare impeachment to a coup? Yes

So when you defend calling this a coup, we hear "Brain turned to the off position".
The easiest way to identify a Trump Stupid, their brain is set to the off position.

Prior performance wasn't an Impeachment Inquiry. Especially of witnesses who have already been deposed in depth.

Granted if the Dems don't keep the Trump Stupids under control it will not be good.

Impeachment is impossible right now, so I see this as an advertisement. An appropriate one. I'd impeach him. Using the Presidency solely to feed your ego? Trying to eliminate the checks and balance system that has kept us a democracy? That's the most treasonous imaginable thing I can think of.
Impeachment is inevitable. Conviction andrRemoval from office at trial in the Senate on the Articles of Impeachment is an impossibility, in my opinion, considering the commentary of Senators such as major hypocrite Senator Lyndsey Graham. He has already stated he is not going to consider evidence.

    My opinion.

    In my opinion

    I had heard.

I didn't hear the phone conversation myself.

    I read a article.

    Yup!

Exactly. Democrats can do little more than make a statement that the constitution has checks and balances for a reason. It's like running into a brick wall, but running into it with a tank. No, you won't break it, but you'll make a dent. I guess this election, too, will be centered on a wall.

It will make no difference to the die hard "MAGAs" in his base and of course all of the alt-right. But I do expect it to make a significant negative impact on those independents that voted for him in 16 to actively oppose him in 2020. Afterall, their critical thinking skills are still intact.
