    Well, I'm not worried about sci-fi intoxicants. But that seems to render the idea of determining age by date of birth rather problematic.

    If I began at conception, I'd have to back my birth year up one year as anyone born prior to September would need to. But that's silly.

    I don't see why anyone would count the time it was just a frozen embryo. If it's in any form of stasis, it isn't aging and thus cannot really be said to have "lived" through those years. Rather, it was paused during those years.

    Besides "years old" refers to birthday, not conception day. You start counting when it escapes its prison.
