There's plenty of room for him under Trump's bus. How catastrophically stupid does one have to be to flat out admit to the crimes then when asked to clarify double-down on it, all on live TV?

That's not stupidity, that's pride. That's "I'm right, **** the law, I'm right"

And hours after you try to change your words to say that you did not really say what you said they take what you said and the campaign puts it on a shirt for sale!

Shades of Faye Dunaway in CHINATOWN saying - my sister... my daughter .... my sister ... my daughter.

He won't get rid of Mulvaney. Mick might get freer with his tongue should he be fired. Better to keep him employed and silent.

The ironic part of the presser was that Mick came out all cocky and cracking wise and then was forced to walk back his statements via written messages. If things follow the previous pattern, Mick will opt for new challenges/more time with family soon....

I’m sure they are selling briskly! MAGA and all.....

I think it's a toss-up between mulvaney and rudy.

I understand if you buy a dozen or more they are delivered by a porn star. At least it seems appropriate.

It seem to me that they are thinking about fitting Guliani for the frame too.

trump and the GOP senate seem to have assured him there will be no consequences. The bus however won't care...

I don’t know if he’s next, but he’s certainly trying to piledrive through it. In the long run I sincerely doubt the bravado will work.

In fact, when you look at the big picture, all of the attempts at bravado have, one by one, fallen apart.

Well, I've finally figured out how Trump is draining the swamp. Since before his election and certainly since he became elected Trump hired nothing but suckers, dummies, fools, chancers, hucksters, criminals, sleazoids, dip****s, doofuses, religious nutters, fascists and people from Texas. And that is not even including his own family. His plan all along has been to hire them briefly and quickly fire them and thus prevent them from ever being permitted to work for the federal government again.

Soon there will be only qualified people left to fill the jobs. It's going to take a while.

If Mick goes, he has to go before Congress. Not gonna happen, he'd be forced to tell the truth, and they can't have that.
Rudy is radioactive right now, but if he's been slick enough to do all this corrupt stuff while threading the needle and covering his ass, he'll keep supporting Trump, and vice-versa. May take a back seat, but he's part of the corruption club.
All depends on the will of SDNY/FBI. IMO if they don't get the Trump and his cronies in check, it's gonna damage the nation far, far worse than if they bring him to heel.

You can often predict the future by the past.

President Trump has hired so many people whom he praised to the skies and then fired them or had them quit on him. (I thought it was disgraceful how he treated his first Attorney General, for example.)

I think that it is fair to say that Mr. Mulvaney will not last until the end of the President's first (and only?) term. After all, he is designated as "Acting Chief of Staff," isn't he?

Yup that would be the smart thing to do...... You give him credit for being more intelligence than I would.
