Hunter Biden is clearly guilty of benefiting from Nepotism. That is not a crime by any means, but it is obviously not ideal to use your parents influence to enrich yourself. In fact, I'd say one of the core underlying problems that Democrats are trying to fight that leads to the types of radical income inequality in this country is Nepotism. Wealthy parents using their wealth and power to insure the success of their children regardless of how dense they may be.

But since Republicans seem to want to bash Joe and Hunter Biden I thought we should do a little roll call check to see who realistically has a right to criticize nepotism from the Republican side of the isle...

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Daughter of Governor Mike Huckabee.
Megan McCain, Daughter of John McCain
Mitt Romney, Son of former Governor George Romney
Ivanka Trump, Daughter of Assclown Donald Trump
Donald Trump Jr, Son of Assclown Donald Trump
Eric Trump, Son of Assclown Donald Trump
Donald Trump son of Fred Trump.
George W Bush, son of George H.W. Bush
Jeb Bush, son of George H.W. Bush
None of the above.

The question shouldn't be about Hunter Biden, but rather whether Joe Biden...and by extension, the Obama administration...engaged in corrupt action for Hunter Biden's gain. Nepotism.

What this issue exposes is the lie we want to believe in called a meritocracy. Sure the meritocracy works for some but the real winners are almost always the ones with the connections not the skills. I saw it constantly in my career in Silicon Valley. For every founder that started in a garage there were hundreds of parasites that latched on due to connections and made fortunes because they knew the right person, got the right deal and went on to do it all over again at the next stop.

Everyone, since that is what freedom of speech is all about. One can be opposed to some law (e.g. tax rates on "the rich" are too low) and not be the least bit hypocritical in taking advantage of it themselves (e.g. simply paying those "unfair" tax rates).

I'm not really arguing with your overall point here, but I guess that depends on what you mean by "real winners."

I have never understood why politics is the only career where following in your parents' footsteps is a bad thing.

Kids naturally take to their parents. They watch them. They copy them. They put their own twist on things, but the apple never falls far from the tree.

In no career is this phenomenon ever mischaracterized as a bad thing except in politics. It's undemocratic. It promotes change for the sake of change.

You left off "All of the above"

The question shouldn't be about Hunter Biden, but rather whether Joe Biden...and by extension, the Obama administration...engaged in corrupt action for Hunter Biden's gain. Nepotism.

That questions has already been answered. They didn't. There is not one single solitary shred of evidence to conclude Joe Biden did anything that was even remotely corrupt or criminal. Biden's son wasn't even under investigation and there was no threat of that happening. In fact, the DA that got fired was fired because he was NOT doing enough about corruption.

The person pushing that was Rudy Giuliani, using conspiracy theory nonsense, now under federal investigation for corruption.
Rudy, along with Paul Manafort (from jail, convicted, corrupt felon), the two Ukrainians now under arrest and out on bail for corrupt/felonies, and the Russian-tied corrupt Ukrainian hiding out from U.S. extradition on bribery charges.

You appear to be focused on the wrong things, if you care at all about corruption.

Regarding Biden:

There's no evidence Hunter Biden did anything illegal or corrupt.
There is no evidence Joe Biden did anything illegal or corrupt.
There is no evidence the Obama administration in this regard did anything illegal or corrupt.

All evidence indicates Joe Biden acted on behalf of the administration he represented, pursuing the strategy laid out by U.S. government inter-agency decisions with our allies in Ukraine, to pursue removal of a corrupt prosecutor who was NO PROSECUTING corruption, the opposite of what you absurdly imply.

So why would you think the quesiton should be about non-existent anti-Democrat nonsense? Let me guess, you still push conspiracy theories like you do that Russia didn't hack the DNC, and birtherism.

Food for thought, if Biden drops out of the race will all this talk of his past actions just be pushed back to being a tool used to occasionally claim all the Left are corrupt? Somehow I think this exactly how will go in the end.
Then it is on to attacking Warren, which they already are, the difference is there just isn't anything big enough to make her quit, and why, like it or not, she will probably be our next President.

It isn't, and we're not talking about following in your parents footsteps we're talking about riding their coat tails to insure you're own success regardless of merits.

Oh I don't know I'd say the only reason Eli Manning was drafted first overall is because of his dad and his brother.

It's undemocratic. It promotes change for the sake of change.
A Politician is a Representative who should in theory Represent the people who elect him. It would stand to reason then that someone who has a good understanding of the difficulties of the average person they are representing would likely be more successful.

Exactly zero people that I listed in the poll have ever lived one day of their entire lives as anything other than a privileged rich kid with a wealthy and powerful parent. There is really no way for them to fathom what the average American goes through on a day to day basis. They may get elected because voters have fond memories of their parents or based entirely on name recognition, but that is not necessarily rational.

Did the DOJ conduct an investigation?

Did the DOJ conduct an investigation?

In order to start an investigation there has to be some rational basis for thinking a crime may have actually been committed. There is none. Nobody who was actually involved with any discussion Joe Biden ever had with anyone in the Ukrainian government has given any indication that there was any type of threat whatsoever. Furthmore, Hunter Biden was never actually in any danger from any type of investigation whatsoever.

You don't get to just make up lies and claim an investigation must be held in order to see if your lie has any merit. This is they Trump was fishing for anything he could get from the Ukrainian government. He knew full well that his own DOJ had no rational basis for launching any type of investigation.

By your logic we cannot clear you of being a child molester since there has never been an investigation into whether or not you diddled little boys.

Eli and Payton Manning have two Super Bowl rings each.

That's an argument in favor of a particular kind of politician, not one who has no experience in politics.

I mean the ones who make big bucks for doing jack **** over and over again.

Rational basis? Like this?

Why doesn't that apply to impeachment inquiries?

If he had some expertise at all, instead of being a stoner, no one would probably be worried.

Eli and Payton Manning have two Super Bowl rings each.

And how many Super Bowls do you think the Giants would have had they drafted Phillip Rivers or Ben Roethlisburger instead?

Why doesn't that apply to impeachment inquiries?

It does. First we had a whistle blower complain which highlighted an allegedly serious crime being committed by this administration. Then Trump's own dumb ass released a transcript of the phone call which proves the allegation was true. Then Trump publicly broke the law again by asking for help from China and Australia.

This on top of the numerous crimes uncovered during the Mueller Investigation serve as way more than enough justification for this inquiry. In fact, there was more than enough justification for it well over a year ago.

Why is it "foolish"?

Anyone can criticise anyone else...

Not really. When you yourself are insanely guilty of the exact thing you're criticizing someone else for it would be wise of you to keep your mouth shut. If nepotism and or using the power of office to secure better outcomes for ones children is a crime that disqualifies a candidate for public office then Donald Trump himself has been disqualified a thousand times over.
