This morning, Donald Trump told the press that he doesn't know who the "partisan" whistleblower is, yet he knows that it's someone that's partisan.

Do you believe that Trump is telling the truth, that he really does not know the identity of the whistleblower?

After what was it, 10,000 lies in his presidency, many of which I got to experience first hand as they happened, no I don't trust anything he says. He has completely destroyed his credibility. All politicians lie, but this guy is the Babe ****ing Ruth of lying and does it at a rate an order of magnitude higher than whoever is in second place.

The correct poll choice wasn't included "No idea, but his statement is completely worthless and provides no added information"

There is no way that I believe that! There is another argument that the subject of the complaint is not a member of the IC. If Trump can see anything and declassify anything, is he really not a part of the intelligence community?

Actually, he might. There's no reason why he couldn't learn through his corrupt chain of command who the whistleblower is.

Your argument doesn't hold any credibility for one reason, this person, whether it's a man or a woman, had access to phone calls and/or to the logs of phone calls made by Trump with any foreign entity. Those are all a part of the Congressional record and maintained for posterity. There is no way, no how, not even close to being logical that any person unless they have the highest security clearance, would have that kind of access. Absolutely, he/she is most definitely part of the intelligence community but even more than that, it's already coming out that this whistleblower has formerly worked at the National Security Council.

In addition, the whistleblower, has hired an attorney because he has already been threatened with an investigation into himself and his claim. That threat is something most would consider coercion.

As you said: "If Trump can see anything and declassify anything, is he really not a part of the intelligence community?" Why would Trump deny even knowing who the whistleblower is?

I think you misunderstood the point I was attempting to make. The argument I have heard is that the person the WB is reporting on is supposedly not part of the IC, therefore, not liable under the provisions of the WB clause. I take that non-IC person to be Trump.......

I am not 100% certain but he has lots of reason to lie about this...... especially if it implicates him.

It's nonsensical. His personal consigliere, William Barr knows who the whistleblower is. His newly appointed loyalist at the Dept of National Intelligence, Joseph Maguire and the Inspector General both know the identity, yet the president pretends he's in the dark about this person's identity and doesn't care much to know? Stinky BS.

Ah okay, I did read you wrong. Sorry about that!

I was actually waiting for at least one Trump supporter to come and say 'yes' he believes Trump. It's early, there's still time.

I've been getting some pretty mixed up commentary from various networks, not only CNN and MSNBC but Fox as well as to how this person came upon this secret phone call. On one network they explained that these people actually work right inside the White House, listening in to calls with foreign entities. Another suggested this whistleblower read a transcript and became alarmed. I don't know if the physical location of the whistleblower has any significance at all but I think that if this person was right there in the White House, even if he was in the basement with a single lightbulb swinging over his head like in the movies, others inside the White House would know he's there and what his business is and and others would also be aware of this very same 'disturbing' telephone call.

I mean you think he would have to at least be able to narrow it down or does he just make so many compromising promises that he can't recall which one and who was there?

Must be a slow news day for the anti-Trump brigade.
Such faux outrage... ssdd 24-7.

Do we have exact wording, in context, a link or something?

I hope the Don is talking HC with the Aussie, would love to see him get ahead of the Dems. The Aussies have it going on.
More interesting to me than someone who heard something he thinks Trump may have said.

Donald Trump doesn't know how to tell the truth.
His lips were moving, therefore he is lying.

Been snoozing?

What is HC?

Trump said it on live broadcast sitting next to the OZ PM.

Trump has produced such a toxic environment in his surroundings that nobody trusts anyone. When staff looks at the large number of former staff members sent packing they can't help but wonder when their bus ticket will show up.

We will learn so much more once he is out of office from books to come out.

I get it, from now on we just come up with something we might have heard, don't post links and assume everyone has the time to listen to every word on tv.
Thanks.

Can you recall the "red button" issue? Obama's “This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility,” Obama said, expressing confidence that he would win a second term.
What could that mean?
I wanna bet the left defended it tooth and nail. Wait a minute and they'll spin it again.
To be fair, the right made a huge deal of both comments too back in the day.

Trump could be jumping to a large conclusion, but essentially everyone who goes against him is a partisan whisleblower.

Who the hell knows... difficult to trust anything Trump says... at this point what is far more important is finding out what the complaint was about in the first place.

Which side of the bed did you get out of? It’s everyone's duty to spoon feed you and bring you up to speed? Wipe the sleep outta your eyes and catch up!

Live updates: The latest on the Trump whistleblower mystery - CNNPolitics

Upper right video.

Trump: "Ridiculous story, it's a partisan whistleblower..."
"a political hack-job".
I don't know the identify, I just hear it's a partisan person...
Trump then explains what partisan means.

Trump assures us that it was a "beautiful" conversation. Nothing to see here...

So....more incoherent rambling from the CIC to go along with his usual lying.
I sleep soundly knowing this guy has his tiny finger on the button.
