Lot o' crying there buddy. Who said I was OK with Democrats? I don't vote for them either. I criticized Obama pretty heavily during his tenure as President. I criticized Hillary extensively. My "libertarian-left" lean means "not Republican". Most people who wear the libertarian lean here are just GOP party voters.

I vote libertarian, I don't like either of you big government folk, lol.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo

Are you Lou Dobbs? Because only someone with that attitude would ever think Trump is the best president the US ever had. The man is a moral degenerate, a truth defying idiot, a lying piece of crap. I seriously do not know how anyone would call him the best president ever, he isn't even the best republican president of the past 50 years.

The case for Bush/Cheney: Turned the tragedy of 9/11 against the American people and used it as leverage to launch an invasion against an uninvolved nation, killing at least a million innocent Iraqis, thousands of American soldiers, squandered trillions in American resources and destabilized a large region of the world -- vastly increasing terrorism, exacerbating the migration crisis, and strengthening Iran and Russia in the collateral effects.

The case for Trump: Epic and almost comical mismanagement of the American government, unprecedented and unchecked corruption, transforming the Supreme Court and lower courts via the Federalist Society, exacerbating the partisan divide, fomenting overt White Nationalism, normalizing dictators and autocratic governments, alienating allies, and arguably cementing the decline of American influence and power throughout the world.

Feel free to challenge or add to the 'cases' for the respective presidents. I'm adding an 'Other' category because many conservatives will write in 'Obama!' for what I can only assume is a non-racist reason.
In my lifetime... a cinch... Obama... followed by Carter.

The housing crash happened under Bush also. It was Barack Obama that turned that mess around.
It was those actions by Bush, congress, and other officials that turned it around, plus a good dose of free markets. Obama did squat.

Nixon's actions might very well be called into question with regard to the threat to Democracy. I struggle to understand why some consider President Trump a threat to Democracy, when he was elected democratically(no, not by numbers, but by breadth of vote). Other than specious accusation and churned up by the left, in my opinion he is doing a remarkable job. In fact, much better than I expected, given the misbegotten hatred he has been straddled with.
    Regards,
    CP
I have always been a Nixon supporter.

    1) At the presise critically essential moment, when Israel refused to stop fighting until it had surrounded the
Egyptian Third Army Nixon & Kissinger's SHUTTLE DIPLOMACY not interested in humiliating the Arabs bokered a truce
ending the Yom Kippor War. Craftily they managed to be accepted as a broker by the Arabs as well as the Israelis
and to draw back Soviet influence which before that time was prominent.

    2) True to his campaign promise Nixon removed all combat troops from Viet Nam, (the 3rd costliest war in US history
in troop deaths) after giving North Vietnam a heavy dose of B-52 bombing. Vietnamization of the War followed. When he was
removed from office the commies realized they didn't have Nixon to deal with anymore, Ford was a pushover & they pounced,

    3) In his typical cunning, & sly way an event so unexpected that it created a phrase that’s become part of our political lexicon:
The shorthand is “Nixon goes to China,” meaning a moment in which a leader reverses his past positions
to do something that is shocking but beneficial. Before leaving China , Nixon said at a banquet in his honor: “This was the week
that changed the world.” That was a bit of Nixonian amour-propre, but he was right.

    4) Benefits of Nixon's détente policies to previous cold war strategies are obvious no need to elaborate

    5) Face to face with Breshnev

American domestic realities are proving to be a major restraint on the U.S. pursuing the kind of robust, proactive foreign
policy needed to contain two major near-peer and/or outright peer competitors Russia & Chuna. The only way to do so
is to employ the type of creative diplomacy that has not been seen in Washington D.C. since Richard Nixon left the White House.

Saved america and the auto industry from the bush/cheney financial disaster and got american moving forward again.

And republicans have the nerve to say how horrible the liberal socialists are for america. Trump did try to warn us by telling us he would run the government like he ran his businesses, into bankruptcy.

    Trump gets my vote.

Uhhh the problem with this poll and your choice is that there is 42 more presidents, but you know that, if there was 1,000 choices you would still pick trump if 999 of them had killed children
