Who suffers more is a matter of the price elasticity of the specific product being sold, with the elasticity tied to the availability of alternatives to fill the consumer's needs.

It just doesn't work the way you believe it works. Sorry, but when you "speak" as if you think you know what you are talking about, but don't, you need to be corrected. I gave you a lot of expert support for what I was trying to explain to you. Your response was fundamentally to put your hands over your ears. That isn't particularly constructive to you or to DP. If you feel so strongly about your logic, then kindly produce some expert 3rd party work to back up what you say.
This isn't writing a term paper. I don't need footnotes. It's opinion, based on facts and experience. However, thanks for making my point; "No, if businesses could always pass along their costs, no one would ever go out of business". Absolutely right. Now you're getting it. I knew you'd see the light. Just needed me educating you a little. You either pass along those costs eventually, or you go out of business. So costs do have to be passed on. Thank you. And glad to be of service.

The end user either pays that increased cost as a rise in price, or seeks a cheaper alternative.
